Alison Moyet's 1984 album Alf will be reissue as a two-CD deluxe edition in November along with her three other Sony albums. The double-disc edition of Moyet's debut includes the album remastered from the original tapes and comes with a bonus disc featuring remixes and B-sides. Since this album has never been reissued and there has never been any kind of Alison Moyet rarities anthology, more or less everything on this bonus disc is new to CD. Content includes both 12-inch remixes of Love Resurrection, both 12-inch mixes of Invisible and the 'new version' of For You Only (in seven-inch and Extended versions). That last song was only issued as a single in the US and a few territories in Europe. It eventually surfaced in the UK on the B-side to Is This Love? retitled 'Europa Mix'. The Europa Mix was identical the Extended New Version, so the shorter single-length 'New Version' is unreleased in the UK until now.

A first: a masterpiece ruined by being remastered.
I just loved the original but, like some other reviewers who have been critical, I think this was the remasterer's first job. The tracks are ruined by percussion and tambourines that almost drown Alison out. It's an assault on the ears, I have never heard an LP ruined in this manner. It's no pleasure to listen to, quite the reverse - an appalling job that has ruined a masterpiece.

a great deluxe set for this debut album,all remastered sounding even better,brings allthe singles and mixes together some never been on cd before,great packaging to ive brought the other albums from the reissue series now alison voice is amazing great value

This woman has lost none of her wonder...... plus bonus material.
Masterpiece of her first solo album experly remastered.Plus every issue has an extra disk of further material. Well worth it.This woman should never have gone away (Sony contract problem) but she's back and there's more material for 2017 and a tour.What else can an absolute fan want?

Excellent edition, but the packaging is too delicate...
Long awaited edition. Heard and liked !!! shame about the package, beautiful but delicate. Better a super jewel box, or a digipack. With pockets for CDs can damage both the packaging and the discs ...
