Perfect for a BACnet MS/TP Cable
I've purchased a few of these now to set up USB to RS-485 communication for my peers and I to view BACnet data using standard BACnet Explorers like Y.A.B.E. Purchasing like this, we can easily add Pheonix-style connectors and an additional two-conductor cable to integrate with ease. Perfect for anyone working in the Automation field.

Nice RS485 Converter
I had no problems with this, it worked immediately with my application. I like the LED indicators in it, and also the built in terminator resistor. The only thing I don't understand is why the wires are so Short.. So, they did nice job of heat shrinking the end of the outer insulation and tinning the ends of the wires, but, it was ALL useless, because the wires are way to short to reach even the tiniest terminals, and the exposed tinned ends are also way too short to connect to ANY kind of terminal. So 4starts because I this does work well.. but docking 1 star because I have to re-work the ends to make it useful.. It's not a huge deal, but it's something I wouldn't have to do if they did it right instead of doing it in a way that can't be useful to anyone.

RS485
If you need to read field level bacnet network. This is the answer to solving.any simple issues. Reading points inside a bacnet device and checking network static and numbers. This is the simplest device and answer. All you need is the software to communicate. Some are free and still good

No issues, like the LEDS
I'm using this to connect a Bryant/Carrier air conditioner RS-485 bus to a computer and it is working fine after two months of continuous operation. I like that I can confirm communication by seeing the LEDs flicker. No issues with communication so far. I ended up trimming the wires significantly to tidy up my installation. This reveal two things: the space inside the cable between the individual leads contains a white powder. I hadn't seen that before. Also the conductors are aluminum, not copper. Hopefully there are no corrosion issues in my future.

Fast connection
Works perfectly, connects without any problems and never had any problems when used with multiple programs that each changed the connection speed.

Converter Echo and non-Echo type
What type is product, Echo or non-Echo ? If product is non-Echo, can you get custom part for our application ? The Echo is the reflection of transmitting data on the Receiving line. The non-Echo version is normally used for "master-slave" system, in which, master device (one and only one for each system) controls the data flow over the network and it also controls time-window for slave transmitting. On this case, non-echo make sense. SAE J1708 is a multiple-master layout, which require all nodes receive echo data for bus arbitration, for this reason, non-echo version is not recommended.
