Michelle Steilen (Estro Jen), creator of Moxi Roller Skates, says the idea behind Moxi Skates was to "revitalise classics for women on a roll!". Ordinarily roller skates for women have usually been white or tan, and black for the guys, but have now been revamped into five eye-catching designs and put "fashion on wheels by putting a colourful spin on a fun American pastime." Estro was a marketing professional, turned roller derby addict who was inspired to use what she knew to see to it that roller skating never went away again. While roller derby captured all of the aggressive-typed women, Estro’s mission was to harness the acceptance of all women with a desire to be on wheels and look cute while exercising! And that is when Moxi Roller Skates (the brand) was created.

WORTH THE $$$!
I’ve been coveting Moxi Lollys for years, but couldn’t get past the price, didn’t want to buy suede/leather, plus didn’t believe any skate could comfortably accommodate my everexpanding bunions. My old derby skates no longer fit w/o pain, and I’d kind of resigned myself to thinking I’d never skate again. After much research, I knew suede was the only way to go (thank you, lil pig) — riedell or Moxis particularly. These have truly been life-changing — incredibly comfortable to skate in, plus my feet no longer hurt OFF of skates. Something about the weight-shifting movement of skating has conditioned my feet after 2 months skating several times a week. And they are so eye-catching that I feel like a PSA for quad skating wherever I go!

I literally wore these and a pair of $50 skates in the same night and I could tell the difference!!!! The bearings and wheels on these provide a nice smooth ride. Order a size down from what you wear in shoes.

Comfortable skates!
I’m a beginner and researched quite a bit before purchasing skates. I am very happy with these skates. Not only are they beautiful but are incredibly comfortable and the fit was spot on. I’m a size 7 so I ordered them in size 6. Very smooth ride. Came with the skate tool but no toe guards. Not a big deal, I’ll just purchase some cute ones.
