Supernatural: Season 3 [Blu-ray]

This season, even though shorter has some awesome episodes. From the perspective of watching this long afterward I can say I liked the Ruby character. She doesn't show up too often, the Bela character I can do without. Some truly funny moments to me are 1: Dean going and seeing his old girlfriend and the b-day party. Seeing the women eyeing him up like a piece of deliciousness, and not being shy at all, is great. Seeing him interact with the kid who acts and talks like him. Quick math and oh Holy crap. Not his kid though? Bedtime Stories had me cracking up, especially when Sam knows the Cinderella story and Dean tells him he is so gay. I love the episode where the old lady is hot for Sam and it grossing him out. The lady wasn't shy and seeing both guys in tuxes was a sight that had me speechless, gaping at the tv. Oh My God when Gert(old lady) did the double ass grab on Sam and whispered sexily into his ear, the look on his face was priceless. Seeing Dean come down the stairs in slow motion and thinking he looked ridiculous. I agreed whole-heartedly with Bela that, that was not the word I would use. More like a super-sexy American 007. As you see in the gag reel. His reaction to the suggestion of angry sex saying don't objectify me, is total b.s. as you shortly see a huge freakin' grin split his face. There is a really funny part in the Fresh Blood episode. They capture a young newly turned vampire and are asking her who turned her and how. She said some guy was buying her drinks and put drops in her drink. What did he look like? She said he was an old guy, you know like 30. The looks on their faces was WTF: when did 30 get to be old? Since they are riding around that age bracket. Way too funny. The Christmas episode is out and out hilarious. It starts with the elf thinking they are two perverts just watching kids to seeing Santa with a bottle of Jack watching Christmas porn. That will warp your psyche beyond repair. Seeing Sam & Dean standing there open-mouthed at Santa is side-splitting. Only to be topped by them breaking into a Christmas carol like they are just out caroling. Santa laughing and them high-tailing it out of there. Let alone being tied up and tortured by rejects from Pleasantville, who have no problem with killing and chopping up bodies, but she tells Dean he owes money to the swear jar for cussing. Wicked funny. The Mystery Spot is funny, yet hard to watch considering Dean is heading to Hell shortly. Sam gets to watch him die every which way and he can't stop it. Then we find out the Trickster is back, and Sam gets a taste of life without Dean. It has some really funny moments and sad too. The season ender is really hard to watch, as Dean's time runs out and he gets shredded by Hellhounds and sent to Hell. You see the full realization of what he did on his face as he is screaming Sams name. This show just keeps getting better and better. These 2 are absolutely mesmerising to watch and a huge bonus seeing 2 hotties in tuxes makes it complete. I would ramp it up to 15 stars if that were a choice. Get yourself these season's and get hooked(it will happen). It is worth every penny, and it is money well spent.

With the 2007 writers' strike that occurred in Hollywood, one would think that this season of Supernatural would be very week and just serve as a minor story arc until Season four came around. However, this is not the case! Supernatural Season three in my opinion is the shows strongest season show, highlighting a great new cast of characters, including Bela (Lauren Chan), and Ruby (Katie Cassidy). Throughout the year, if you have been following the online community, you will have probably read the general distaste for Lauren Chan and her character, Bela. However, I differ from the majority and find her to be a major asset to the show. She is clever, cunning, and you are always unsure of what side she is truly on (besides her own). Probably the weakest episode of the bunch is "Ghostfacers!". While this is a wink and nod at all the reality shows on television, I really thought that is was unnecessary since this was such an abbreviated season anyway with the writer's strike. Supernatural: The Complete Third Season hits shelves just in time and is a great way for fans to catch up with the Winchester brothers before the paranormal journey returns with the season four premiere later on this fall on the CW (of course, my TiVo is already set up to record!).

So i just recieved mine in the mail today since i preordered it i ended up paying $36.99 which is great considering everywhere else its being listed as 38 or 39 dollars. i cant wait to start watching all the episodes. ive already got the first two seasons which ive watched all the way through and even got my boyfriend to watch a few episodes with me :) but now ive finally got the 3rd season so i can finally catch up on it. unfortunately i missed alot of episodes for this season because of work but the ones i did get to catch were great! i really disliked Bella, she just didnt work for me in this show, but Ruby, i really loved Ruby i thought she really added something extra to the show and Katie Cassidy did a good job portraying her. The episode i most look forward to watching is Bad Day At Black Rock. I just couldnt stop laughing during that episode! Sam losing his shoe, Dean tossing the pen into the gun barrel and saying "im Batman"...PRICELESS!!! lol gotta love the Winchester boys! Although the writers strike killed this season having a few more episodes (THANKS ALOT! GRRR) it still seemed to be able to make it through. They seemed to understand not to cut down on quality and have one of those crappy season finales because they didnt have enough episodes to get it to become a great one, no they overcame it and still ended it with a bang! and a very shocking one at that. like i said, i did miss quite a few episodes but this is one of my 3 favorite shows of all time (Roswell & Veronica Mars being the other 2) and i am soooo glad that we didnt end up with this being the last season for the show. finally a show that i love has broken the 3 season curse!

I was unemployed for nearly 8 months after I graduated from college. I had a lot of time to think. A lot of time spent in my running shoes. Many hours laid out on the back patio with my Kindle. And even more time flipping through channels in my parent’s living room, laptop open, impatiently waiting for an email from any company I had applied with. And thus, one early morning, I flipped to TNT and came upon a show called "Supernatural". Now, I love all things paranormal. It scares me s***less, but I like it. And to see two sexy ass men traveling across country, fighting ghosts and shape shifters, was pretty much all I needed to see to be hooked like a fish. The first episode I ever saw was “Ghostfacers” (which is somewhere on this season) and I completely fell in love. I probably shouldn’t have watched it out of order, but I was broke and couldn’t afford to buy the seasons. (Flip to almost a year later and I’ve compulsively bought almost all of them consecutively within a months’ time). I was confused as hell, but I couldn’t stop watching. It’s an addiction. This TV series has easily become one of my favorites, if not at the tippy top of the list, it’s definitely worth the time. Dean and Sam. Cas and Crowley. Ruby and Jo. Bobby. It's all awesome.

shows on TV right now. I've been loving Supernatural since the first episode and Sam/Dean have really grown in the series. From fledgling demon hunters to full on demon killers, but still at the same time keeping that thing that seperates us from them...their humanity. Yes, he sold his soul to save his brother and that is one of the major storylines in Season 3. As the brothers race towards finding a way to undo this pact that has been made. Not knowing what lies ahead for them it never stops the Winchester brothers from having a blast doing what their Dad trained them to do. It's violent, dark and grown up, but at the same time its light hearted and funny to watch. Supernatural isn't like any show out there and that's what makes me love it so much. Especially after the Season 3 epic cliffhanger, I can't spoil for folks that haven't seen it yet. But wow! It's something else and will leave you wanting Season 4 to hurry and come out on DVD asap. I love all the characters in story whether recurring (Bobby) or not. They all make this show something special and kudos to the writers, producers, directors, set designers, lighting effects, custome designers and everyone else work on the show. Thanks for making Supernatural just that.

I'm really not into anything that scares me in the movie or tv region...but my roommate introduced me to this show last September and I absolutely fell in love with it!! I LOVE Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles...they're both amazing and make this show the greatest thing ever!! I've even reached out and got some of my friends that weren't fans before and made them fans by letting them watch it! The third season is such a trip! Watching Dean's journey through his last year is both funny and tugs at your heart strings a little watching them fight to save him! The only thing better than this season...is the one after it! But that's not exactly out to own yet...so we'll just have to be patient. :) I would seriously recommend this to ANYONE (actually I DO recommend this to everyone I know, pretty much)...especially if they don't mind watching somethin that scares them once in a while...and even if they don't like scary stuff...it's worth it for Sam and Dean Winchester :D

Supernatural is one of the best shows on tv. Where are you going to find a show that consistantly relies on two leads to front it every single week? The chemistry between Jensen (Dean) and Jared (Sam) is undeniable and has evolved with each season. Even though season three was cut short because of the writer's strike, I think it is about the best season so far. There are some superb performances including the episodes "The Kids Are Alright" - Jensen is so adorable and charming interacting with little Ben; "Bad Day at Black Rock" - Jared gives a great comedic performance with all the bad luck cursed upon him; "Mystery Spot" - Jared gives a definite heartfelt execution of a brother who has lost the only & most important person in his life...again and again. Jensen gets to embrace his comedic side at times in this episode as well and it's great!; "Ghostfacers" - what can I say about this one other than I love Ed, Harry & the Ghostfacer gang they bring along to this reality inspired episode; "No Rest for the Wicked" - Eric Kripke does the unthinkable and it helps Jensen with one of his best acting jobs thus far. He gives us pain and agony like no other. This show is by far my favorite and hopefully others will see it as outstanding and ingenious work.

Le nom de Supernatural est à ajouter à la liste de ces séries qui se sont remarquablement illustrées avec leur 3ème saison. Et c'est d'ailleurs la particularité des meilleures séries fantastiques. C'est ainsi, à mon sens, le cas de Charmed, d'Angel, de Smallville et assurément de Buffy. Pour une série avec une forte mythologie, c'est chronologiquement le bon moment pour prendre toute son envergure, que ce soit au niveau de la mythologie elle-même, des personnages et du cadre global des événements. Mais toujours est-il qu'il faut savoir répondre présent et c'est ce que l'équipe de SUPERNATURAL a su réussir avec brio. La saison une a permis une parfaite présentation de base de la mythologie, avec en outre une ligne conductrice nettement établie dès le début. La saison 2 a su l'enrichir et la faire gagner en ampleur, et avec elle, l'ensemble des personnages. Et voilà qu'Eric Kripke a brillamment su apporter le développement qui fait d'une 3ème saison, la pièce parfois maitresse de toute une oeuvre. C'est la superbe idée scénaristique de la fin de la saison 2 qui a permis ce tour de maitre. En effet, le pacte conclu par Dean pour sauver son frère Sam et qui doit le mener à sa mort dans 1 an est un formidable vecteur d'enrichissement de la mythologie. Les recherches de solutions pour mettre fin à ce pacte vont ainsi pousser les 2 frères à explorer comme nous ne l'avions pas vu, à la fois la véritable nature du mal qu'ils combattent mais également leur propre condition. Ce qui ressemblait au cours de la 1ère saison à des luttes isolées contre des monstres ou esprits, sur la route des Etats-Unis, le tout sur fond de vengeance contre le monstre aux yeux jaunes responsable de la mort de leur mère, apparait en réalité bien plus vaste, plus terrifiant, plus périlleux et surtout semble indestructible. En ce qui concerne Dean et Sam, l'épée de Damoclès que représente le pacte, les font gagner en profondeur émotionnellement. Dean se révèle un homme qui a peur de mourir alors que son acte héroïque nous laissait présager du contraire. Son allure désinvolte qu'on lui connait (et adore) masque des sentiments qu'on lui découvre alors. C'est également le cas de Sam, qui va emprunter des chemins obscurs, prêt à tout pour sauver son frère, allant même jusqu'à tuer le démon qui a conclu le pacte avec Dean. Face à sa nature responsable et réfléchie, nombreux seront les cas de conscience de Sam ... L'autre excellent aspect de la saison et sans aucun doute l'apparition de deux nouveaux personnages qui enrichissent indiscutablement la série, qui en avait, avouons-le, besoin. Bela Talbot (Lauren Cohan : The Walking Dead , Vampire Diaries) est une voleuse au lourd secret sur son passée (épisode 15) et chacune de ses interventions laisse planer le doute sur son ralliement aux deux frères et Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver), qu'elle semble mettre systématiquement dans le pétrin ... Ruby (Katie Cassidy : Gossip Girl, Melrose Place nouvelle génération) est encore plus intrigante car elle est un démon, mais semble pourtant acquise à la cause de Dean et Sam ! Sa présence apparait comme un véritable atout pour nos héros dans cet engouffrement dans les forces du mal, et sert en parfaite intelligence le développement de la mythologie. De nombreuses ouvertures n'auraient ainsi pas pu avoir lieu sans cette humaine-sorcière devenue démon après avoir séjourné en enfer. Mais ce fil rouge n'étouffe absolument pas la saison. Une remarquable et efficace répartition des épisodes a été élaborée entre ceux consacrés au sauvetage de Dean et ceux indépendants où les frères Winchester traquent de dangereuses créatures, ce qui reste aussi la marque de la série. Et là encore, les scénaristes n'ont pas été à cours d'idées. Vont ainsi se dresser notamment contre eux pas moins que les 7 péchés capitaux, des contes de fées tueurs, des esprits qui prennent l'apparence d'enfants, l'esprit vengeur d'un marin, des enlèvements par la cheminée le jour de noël, des démons prenant la voix de personnes décédées, ou encore Gordon Walker, le chasseur de vampires, pour ne citer qu'eux. Au cours de cette saison plus feuilletonnante, plus rythmée encore, aux constructions scénaristiques plus variées, et où l'humour tient toujours une place importante, certains épisodes se détachent, dans des tons différents. L'épisode 11 à la fois horrible et délirant marquera personnellement clairement cette saison. Sam y revit incessamment la même journée au bout de laquelle Dean meurt inévitablement ! La faute au démon embrouilleur Trikster (Richard Speight Jr. : Jericho , Band of brothers), que l'on recroisera plus tard. L'humour est d'ailleurs à l'origine d'épisodes succulents comme Baraka (n°3) lorsque Sam perd sa patte de lapin ou Les Ghostfacers (n°13) où les frères croisent à nouveau (saison 1 épisode 17) la route d'Ed (A.J Buckley : Les Experts Manhattan) et d'Harry (Travis Wester : Beverly Hills) ! La nostalgie nous gagne également au cours de cette saison. L'épisode n° 9 nous ramène par exemple à une série pionnière du genre où des sorcières font de la magie noire en utilisant un livre des ombres ! Cela ne vous rappelle rien ? L'épisode n°7, suscitera aussi bien des souvenirs de cette période dorée, avec en guest-star Mercedes McNab (Buffy, Angel) qui joue le rôle d'un vampire ! Les visages plus ou moins connus des sériephiles seront d'ailleurs en nombre avec notamment l'inoubliable Don S. Davies (Stargate SG1), Martin Christopher (Stargate SG1), Sasha Barrese (LAX), Marisa Ramirez (Spartacus), Anna Galvin (Les nouvelles aventures de Robin des Bois, The Sentinel) ou encore Kathleen Munroe (Call me Fritz). D'autres épisodes sont eux plus dans l'émotion et plus douloureux comme « Rejoins-moi » (n°14) où Dean perd pied lorsqu'il reçoit un appel de son père ou « Jus In Bello » (n°12) lorsque Sam et Dean sont enfermés par le FBI où l'agent Hendricksen (Charles Malik Whitfield) découvre la vérité sur les démons. Le dénouement est violent et on y découvre à cette occasion leur nouveau chef : Lilith, qui apparait pourtant sous les traits d'une petite fille. C'est un personnage essentiel, puisque c'est elle qui détient le contrat de Dean ! Et que dire, une fois de plus, du final de cette saison « Les chiens de l'enfer », si ce n'est qu'il est absolument excellent. Il finit sur un cliffhanger terrible dont il ne serait pas correct de révéler le contenu. On pourra éventuellement dévoiler que les scénaristes n'ont pas fait dans la facilité, que tous les choix ou actes passés par les protagonistes ont ou auront une répercussion tôt ou tard dans la série, ce qui grandit sans conteste Supernatural et ce qui nous livre un dénouement que l'on n'osait pas imaginer. Ce final, d'une part, apparait comme l'apothéose d'un compte à rebours qui nous aura mis sous tension pendant toute la saison, et, délivre déjà, les prémices de la saison 4, qui nous réserve un rebondissement absolument monumental... Ce coffret, comme pour les deux premières saisons est réussi, tant esthétiquement que dans le contenu. Outre les 16 épisodes, il comprend de nombreux bons bonus : documentaires, interviews et bêtisiers. Le bonus consacré aux Ghostfacers est d'ailleurs des plus sympas.

Esta que compre en amazon dvd regiòn uno super de lujo la ediciòn y otra que me encontre en ki localidad regiòn 4. Para mi gusto las tres primeras temporadas son las mejores y de ahì me gusta la octava por el Vampiro martir Benny.

another TV series I had to watch over time. Many were disturbing but well worth the wait.
