BACKBEAT GO 410 Bluetooth Headset/Headphones, In-Ear, magnetic sensors, Bone

The Plantronics Go 410 raised a lot of expectations as an alternative to far more expensive brands and with this new model I decided to give the brand a chance. ( I had previously Plantronics headset but only for telphone use) I was looking for a headphones/ earphones that comply with my simple wish list. 1. Fit into a budget (nothing as expensive as Bose QC35) 2. Portable, easy to fit in a backpack 3. Active noise cancellation Unfortunately the ANC is just a muffle and does not cancel noise enough to notice it. I could say that ANC only does 5% of the noise cancellation that a Bose or Sony would do. (I tested both for a reference). I checked multiple frequencies, engine noises and regular office and household noises and I only find myself very disappointed. Based on the only 5% ANC compared to the top brands. I think the price is not justified. At the end this is just a personal opinion but to make sure I didn’t put the bar to high. I asked wife and kids to try identify when ANC was on or off and they could only guess. In conclusion, there are some cool features but nothing that could justify this purchase. Audio is good but not amazing and battery life is average. With that in mind there are other kits that cost far less. Sorry Plantronics, I really, REALLY like them to work.

This barrel design is a horrible trend, and even the smallest of the buds weren't comfortable, they didn't stay in my ears and hurt to wear.

Quick delivery but the pouch was missing. The order was in an open pack and didn't come with a storage pouch. When will the storage pouch be delivered?

Dreadful headphones, very very disappointed! Unfortunately these were a gift so I can’t return them

Have been using the backbone 410 for 6-7 months for casual calls and exercise. The plugs fit nicely in the ear, with enough passive/ active noise cancellation to enjoy the music but at the same time not totally blocking out the traffic noise (which I prefer for safety purposes). Sound quality is good enough for this price, decent trebles and an acceptable base when listening to YouTube/ internet radio. More importantly the connection is consistent. I can leave the phone in the living room and stay connected around the house. So far no one has complained about sound quality when on the call. I can hear the other person on the line clearly as well. Cons- the neck band design can be better. It’s an awkward design where the wire extends out from the end of the band to the earplugs. Also ran into battery issue on the 7th month but Amazon sent a replacement immediately, pretty impressive! Overall- Packs a punch of goodies for a $100-150 earpiece!

The noise cancelling is pretty good, the sound great and pairs with iPhone (7) almost instantly. Bluetooth range is terrific so I don't need to keep my phone with me as I wander around the house. Switches between two bluetooth sources easily too - great value buy!

Das GO 410 hat kaum Rezensionen und ist Stand 11/2018 noch recht neu. Da ich als Vielreisender und Großraumbüro-Nutzer etliche Vergleichsprodukte inklusive die des Noise Cancelling Pioniers Bose kenne, hier ein paar Aspekte für potentielle Käufer inklusive einer Einordnung dieses Plantronics Modells, welches sich als bestmöglicher Kompromiss entpuppen wird: Wer maximale Lärmreduktion braucht, benötigt ein Over-Ear Modell wie den Marktführer Bose QC 35. Es gibt jedoch in der Praxis viele Situationen, wo ein In-Ear Kopfhörer komfortabler nutzbar und bei kleinem Gepäck auch einfacher mitzunehmen ist. Auch hier ist zunächst das Bose Modell QC 30 dasjenige mit der besten Außengeräuschfilterung. Leider zeigen die Rezensionen von Langzeit-Nutzern, die sich mit meinen persönlichen Erfahrungen decken, ein bescheidenes Bild. Zunächst fällt der Bose durch den hohen Preis und die schlechte Gesprächsqualität auf. Enden tut das Modell dann durch Materialzersetzung am Nackenbügel. Das sind zu viele Kompromisse für mich. Ganz günstige Modelle unter 60€ habe ich auch ein paar probiert - hier merkt man dann allerdings vom ANC, also der Lärmreduktion durch Gegenschall, nichts mehr. Das Jabra Elite 65e hatte mir zu viele mittelmäßige Rezensionen, daher verzichtete ich hier auf ein persönliches Kennenlernen und kaufte das Plantronics Backbeat GO 410. Das Headset hat mich in vielerleii Hinsicht positiv überrascht: Der Preis von unter 130€, der gute Klang (der Hersteller ist ja eher durch Telefonie-Headsets bekannt), der Tragekomfort - hier fällt nichts aus dem Ohr und das Nackenband sitzt gut am Hemdkragen, auch unter Bewegung wie z.B. beim Gehen. Für mich designtechnisch deutlich besser als der Konkurrent von Bose, auch vom Komfort her. Und - endlich - hier kann man gefahrlos telefonieren, ohne das man sich Kommentare vom Gegenüber einfängt wie “Du klingst wie unter einer Käseglocke.“ Im Gegenteil, es gibt auch beim Handy in der hinteren Hosentasche oder beim Abstand bis etwa 7m im Haus keinerlei Bluetooth-Aussetzer wie sie beim Bose üblich waren und nach Software-Updates dann etwas besser wurden. Die Akkulaufzeit von 8h mit ANC im Modus “high“ passt auch. Plus kann man das Headset am Ladekabel auch kabelgebunden zum Beispiel im Flugzeug nutzen - absolut clever. Nach all dem Lob nun zwei Nachteile. Zum einen kann man ANC high / low / off nur in der extra App einstellen, nicht am Kopfhörer selbst. Ok, das ist für mich nicht sehr tragisch, da bei mir ANC immer an ist. Zum anderen ist der Bose QC 30 in Direktvergleich tatsächlich besser was das ANC angeht. Man merkt im Vergleich zu den billigen NoNames zwar definitiv die Funktion, aber ich würde sie subjektiv auf 25% weniger effektiv schätzen. Zudem gibt es bei aktiviertem ANC immer ein hörbares Grundrauschen, welches allerdings beim Musik hören nicht mehr auffällt. In der Kombination der geringeren Effektivität des ANCs bei gleichzeitig weniger Abschirmung durch den Verzicht auf die Over-Ear Konstruktion muss man hier definitiv Abstriche machen. Nichtsdestotrotz bin ich mir sicher das ein Großteil der Nutzer, die den Vergleich mit Bose haben, mit mir einer Meinung sind: das Plantronics GO 410 ist vom Gesamtbild her der eindeutige Sieger und aktuell das einzige Modell, welches Telefonie, Musikgenuss und ANC im zuverlässiger Qualität liefern kann.

This is a great set of earbuds. Sound quality is great. The earbuds are actually a long oval in shape so they fit the ear canal much better than round ear buds. Noise cancelling is adequate though not as clear as I would like. Only a little short on battery life but they recharge quickly. The sound quality of these is really phantastick. Highly recommended !!!

Iba buscando unos auriculares que sobretodo tuviesen buena calidad de sonido en las llamadas (tanto lo que yo escuchara, como especialmente cómo me escuchasen a mi mis interlocutores). Compré y devolví otros dos por no resolver bien este tema: Senheisser y Plantronics. Probé también Apple Airpods, pero no eran como los Apple wired a los que estaba acostumbrado. Estos Jabra por fin resolvieron el problema!!
