PrepWorks Perfect Burger Press Set – Press & Store Up to 6 Burgers, Non-Skid Base, Non-Stick Coating

Why do I love it, you ask? I purchased this years ago and found myself needing more of them. The new version has an indentation in the middle that I don’t like. Amazon came through! 1- makes a perfect size 1/3 pound burger which fits perfectly on the bun when done. Perfect thickness and doesn’t turn into a golf ball or baseball on the grill! 2- easy to make a little or allot of burgers. I mix my meat and seasonings, shredded cheese, green onion or whatever in a bowl and divide the meat into 1/3 pound patties. I know they are 1/3 pound because if I use 2 pounds meat I get 6 burgers , 1 pound = 3 burgers and so on. If there are kids I use one container for 1/4 pound burgers. 3- I can make them ahead for my family or a party and the divides keeps them perfect! I store the entire containers in the fridge until the are ready to cook. Then open the container and transfer them to a platter or cookie(s) sheet depending on how big the party is. I put everything in the top rack of the dishwasher! *also great for turkey or chicken burgers! I am so grateful I now have 4 of them!!!! Perfect timing, We are vaccinated! I'm giving it 4 stars but I would really rate this as 3.5 stars. I have had one of these for years and it works great. I just bought this one as a gift for a friend and was surprised that they have cut a few corners in this newer version. With ours, the separators are thicker, more durable. The plastic is clear and thick. The red top/bottom are rubber and seal up well. The newer one has a more milky plastic and the red top/bottom is plastic and doesn't seal up as well. So, overall not impressed with the changes they made.

This burger press had a lot of really cool features. On paper, this would be an amazing tool. It makes multiple burgers in one press, it is relatively large, making burgers that are about 4 5/8 inch burgers. The plates are 4 1/2 inches with about 1/8 inch play. I tried to get it in the pictures. Here is why it only gets 3 stars from me. First, the scoop is not 1/4 lb. it is a good tool to easily make burgers that are the same size, but I only got 5 patties out of my pound and a half of beef. The lines on the side are worthless. It is very easy to make the patties uneven. The plates to not press evenly and one side of the burger comes out thicker than the other. The lids leak, so if you are using it for storage, put a plate below it or throw it in a ziplock. The press dimples the patties, which I could do without. Things I do like. The scoop makes the patties equal size. Storage is great, everything fits in the container and there are lids for both sides. It is quick and easy to blast out patties and I don’t waste patty paper because the dividers are reusable. If you want a good size burger press and don’t mind uneven patties with dimples, but this press. It is easy and quick to make patties and has some good features. I would probably buy this again, just because I don’t really see any that are better. I prefer really big patties that overflow the buns, so I would love to have a 6 inch press, but can’t find one out there. For the price, this is a good one to have until someone makes one that I like better.

9/10 times when I do burgers at home I make them myself. This burger press is super convenient for a number of reasons: 1. You can press multiple burgers at once. 2. It can be used as storage. Check out the photo I uploaded. Those are turkey burgers that I made and froze. The press doesn't take up a lot of space so it fits nicely in the fridge or freezer. 3. Maintains the burgers shape (obviously). Before I bought the press, my burgers didn't always look the same. Not that it makes a difference when it comes to taste but if presentation is your thing then this really helps. 4. Great for meal prep. 5. Super easy to clean. 6. If you have several burgers in the cylinder and only need one its no big deal to take just one out. The top and bottom are removable silicone caps so you can just push the stack of burgers in either direction until you get however many you need. Its a pretty simple product but makes storing and forming burgers much easier. Pro Tip: Spray the inside with cooking spray before putting in your burger meat. Makes the press easier to clean and the burgers easier to take out.

The whole thing is really easy to use and it does make some well rounded burgers. My only issue was in freezing. The container fit well into the corner, but when it came time to get a burger out..hell had frozen over. I tried pushing, pulling, wedging, running warm water on the sides..nothing..I could not pry a burger out if my life depended on it. I ended up having to put it in the fridge and thaw out overnight to get them out and I ended up putting them in baggies to go back into the freezer. I'm not sure what the solution to this is, but for me..baggies will be my burgers best friend from now on.

These are the prefect thing to make burgers. The markings on the sides allows you to know how big your burger 🍔 is i.e. 1/4 pound. How the heck have I lived all my life without this? Small enough not to take up too much space during storage. Perfect solution to making all your burgers the same size and weight. Super easy to clean. Easy to use and burgers are made up in just a minute or two. Not a bad price. I would recommend it and buy it again if mine ever wears out

This is a pretty simple device that's easy to use. I have used it to pre make 27 patties so far, I used 8 lbs of burger so I should have gotten 32 patties using the measuring scoop, but its not like the scoop is a precision measuring device. If you really want 1/4 lb patties I'd say grab a scale and measure it out, but for me the scoop is close enough. Once measured it is easy enough to place the meat in the tube, put the dimple plate on it, and press the burger down. It is a little difficult getting the patties out once pressed, the plastic is rather slippery and a little difficult to get a good hold on to push them out. Its nothing major and once you do it a few times you get the hang of it. I was worried that separating the patties they would just fall apart trying to get the dimple plates off, but that was not the case, I didn't have any fall apart and I was able to separate and place paper dividers in between to prep for freezing them. Overall I would say this is a good tool to make uniform patties, and a better tool if you are trying to prep a bunch for immediate or long term use as I have.
