Join #1 New York Times bestselling author Jan Karon on a trip to Mitfordโa southern village of local characters so heartwarming and hilarious you'll wish you lived right next door. At last, Mitford's rector and lifelong bachelor, Father Tim, has married his talented and vivacious neighbor, Cynthia. Now, of course, they must face love's challenges: new sleeping arrangements for Father Tim's sofa-sized dog, Cynthia's urge to decorate the rectory Italian-villa-style, and the growing pains of the thrown-away boy who's become like a son to the rector. Add a life-changing camping trip, the arrival of the town's first policewoman, and a new computer that requires the patience of a saint, and you know you're in for another engrossing visit to Mitfordโthe little town that readers everywhere love to call home.

I LOVE These High Green Hills & All Mitford Novels
I love the Mitford Series of Novels. I have read all except the newer novels - but I love every one. My Dad read many of the Mitford novels, but probably not the newer ones before he passed. He loved what he read though. I'd like to think he knows the endings where he is now - in a heavenly place. Reading them makes me think of my Dad. He got me started reading the Mitford novels. Dad read the story of Barnabas's first bath (his dog) to my Mom & I (from the first Mitford Book, "At Home In Mitford") and that is all it took for me to want to read this series too. Read the Mitford Series of books by wonderful author Jan Karon, and you will know why everyone wants to live there. Mitford Books are entertaining. I love all of the characters, and they're just enjoyable. It leads you to use your imagination. If you read one you will want to read them all. I recommend these novels to everyone. There is something for everyone. Read one and you won't want each one to end. You will want to read the rest to see what happens. I will read this series over and over. Read this series. With the things going on in this world, read the Bible and the Mitford Series, and you will find a soft place to land. Trust me, you will not regret it.

They keep
They keep getting better. I enjoyed this more than the last, even though some people left. Timothy is getting used to change, and looking forward to the future. Like me, looking forward to the next book.

Peaceful, Faith- filled, Edifying Series.
It's hard to express how satisfying and delightful the books in this series have been. I've counted on them daily to lift my spirits with another new adventure and/or faith-filled belief in good. The author makes the mundane humorous and extraordinary. I will miss the rector and the town and the well-being encapsulated in these pages.

Jan Karon's Mitford series
This is the second time i have read Jan Karon's Mitford books and if anything I am enjoying them more than the first time. I will point out that I never read books twice until now. They are just wonderful and I feel are truly inspired. they are very "American" but as i read a lot of American books that is no problem for me.

A family so real you can belong to it!
This book is heart warming, funny, well written, and has a unpredictable plot. Excellent story. The author describes not only the looks of the characters, but their personalities, and after a few pages, you feel well acquainted with them. She has an unexpected sense of humour, which I found refreshing.
