Perfect replacement part
I was happy to see that this part was available. Usually you would have to by a whole new pump. The part is an exact replacement for the old one. It only took a minute to replace.

Reasonably priced, drop-in replacement part.
I've had this Wayne cover pump for about 5 years now, which is far longer than any other one I've owned. At one point, I think I burned through 3 pumps in 4 years. Needless to say, I'd like to hang on to this one. A few years ago, a piece of debris (mulch I believe) lodged itself into the flapper and it got stuck halfway open. The entire assembly froze and broke apart, and as part of an emergency repair, I just glued what I could back together (essentially the check valve without the flapper). I very quickly forgot about this repair until a week ago when trying to figure out why the pump would run non-stop. Duh.

Make sure your ck valve is bad to begin with.
Good price, and if your check valve is defective then this is the part you need.

Perfect fit
I made the mistake of pulling on my frozen hose this winter and broke off the check valve connection to the Wayne pump. I put it back on and taped but it came off again within a day. Found this part on Amazon and ordered it. I screwed it on and within minutes my pump was working like new again. Lesson learned, DO NOT PULL YOUR WAYNE PUMP by the hose, it WILL break the check valve connector.

Better than a new pump
I thought I was going to have to buy a new pump when this piece broke. I was really happy to find this. Works great, hopefully it lasts as long as the original did (about 6 yrs).
