Does what it says on the Tin!
I heeded to install a new radiator in the downstairs toilet and didn't want the hassle of draining down the whole system, especially given the fact its freezing cold.I saw this product and read the reviews and thought I'll give it a go. The instructions said that it would freeze one pipe so as it was plastic 10mm heating pipe and it was possible to get both inside the jacket. I gave it a go.It took 3 minutes for the ice plug to form and I was able to trim the pipes insert new collets and connect via a 10mm - 15mm connector to copper and the new radiator. The whole process took 15 minutes including the freeze time and the plug defrosted after 23 minutes. All done, no water anywhere and now subsequent leaks. So for the DIY enthusiast this is a great product good value and easy to use, it does what it says on the tin and definitely something I'll have in my useful things cupboard for the future.Impressed is an understatement

Excellent results if used correctly.
This is an amazing little bit of kit, thank you! I used it to freeze & cut out a leaking AAV on a heating system. This was replaced with a speed fit end cap. I read previous reviews and some came unstuck. I can only imagine the exact instructions were not followed. You need to leave enough time for the refrigerant to freeze the water and then do the job quick enough to eliminate the risk of thaw! Use the correct quantity for pipe size you working on.

Perfect easy to use
Have used this product before, hence why happy to use again. Very easy to use and freeze stayed effective long enough that I did not have to rush the repair. If I had to offer one bit of advice, have spare cable ties, to secure the sleeve. This item came with only 1 cable tie, which is fine if you are freezing a vertical pipe but not so clever if you are working on horizontal pipework, which requires a tie at both ends of the sleeve.

Worked well
Brilliant, did exactly as intended and froze my copper pipe that I couldn’t turn off and managed to put my new fittings on with ease and no worry.

Instructions followed but did not work!!
Followed instructions to the letter, and as an extra help I cooled the pipe with ice packs for 30 mins before using as its summer. The pipe freezer did absolutely nothing, even using the entire can for a 15mm pipe. The pipe didn't have moving water. Luckily I had a tap on one end to check whether it had worked or not, otherwise I would have been swimming in water if I cut the pipe. Cannot see how I could have done anything differently. Perhaps if I had a second can it might have eventually worked, but who knows. Had to dig out the house plans to locate the main water stop cock which l eventually found, but would have been in trouble if I hadn't been able to locate it. Be careful relying on this!! An annoying waste of £15!!!

works best if you cool down the pipe with iceblocks first
I was very ambivalent about this given the reviews and I was fully prepared to encounter a non-stop fountain of water coming out when I cut the copper pipe, but the freezing worked!I had to install service valves on central heating pipes; some key things I believe helped:1) I made sure the heating (and pump obviously) was off for a day or so before attempting this, so that the water was room temperature,2) I bled the system so there was no pressure in the pipes (otherwise iceplug may be pushed out),3) I first cooled down the pipe section with icecubes around the pipe to bring the temperature down as much as I could before applying the jacket and cooling liquid; I got the temperature of the pipe down to about 6 C (on a warm summer day!) before starting with the cooling liquid.I used a food thermometer to check: the temperature of the pipe inside the jacket dropped to -18 C; I let that sit for about 5-10 minutes and when I cut the pipe next to the jacket there was a perfect iceplug formed inside and I was able to mount the service valve with ease, no water coming out whatsoever.

Tricky
Used on a vertical pipe the liquid kept running out the bottom despite extra ties. Wasnt sure if it had worked, but it had, however needed whole can for one freeze.

This is a scam
I tried freezing a copper pipe and followed the instructions on the can and even watched the video but it didn’t freeze not even with two cans it still didn’t freeze we waited the correct amount of time and yet nothing happened, I tried requesting a refund due to it not working and they couldn’t even get me a refund, this is a scam at this point, not worth buying it.Seguí las instrucciones de la lata e incluso vi el video, pero no se congeló, ni siquiera con dos latas. Esperamos el tiempo correcto y aun así no pasó nada. Intenté solicitar un reembolso porque no funcionó y ni siquiera me lo concedieron. Esto es una estafa, no vale la pena comprarlo.
