Good book useful as a teacher

Children will love this

This book is excellent and touches many grammatical concepts in fun way. Paper quality is also excellent (its from Usborne, so that's expected) and graphics are neat. Only issue I have is that the book is presented as an intro to grammar for kids while this is certainly not the case. It is supposed to be used by 10 year olds. The confusion arises out of words used to describe the book as 'Illustrated grammar' but though technically it is, it touches singular, plural, common, proper, abstract, collective, irregular, curious collective, uncountable, concrete Nouns (yes, thats just nouns!) in first six pages of content (pages 8-13). It's a 130+ page book. Do the math.

Not for a six year old for certain. It is a good book for a 9 year old and up child. If you do not have it as part of your book collection you won't miss anything as most grammar books for that age cover all in it in the same fun way at a more reasonable price. However if it's the book that needs to be talked of. Concept learning good. Pictures very eye catching and colorful. Subject matter covers everything needed to understand good sentence formations and correct usage of grammar.

Book cover and pages are good quality but not enough practice excercises for students to understand the topic.

Always been a big fan of Usborne books. Decided to buy after reading good reviews for this book. I must say I am not disappointed. The book explains in a very clear and concise manner with enough illustrations. There are quizzes too to test the knowledge.

The book is good, but it certainly for older kids, at least grade 5 and above. But then , I believe this book will not be much appreciated by grown up kids as they would have overgrown some of the concepts. It’s good as a fun ready reference for older kids, but I believe it’s neither here nor there. Disappointed.

Visually fun, clear descriptions that are easy to understand. The layout on some pages is quite busy but it doesn't get in the way, and it helps to break things up into more bite-sized learning.

This book has been like a gold mine to me. I had been looking for a book that helps me explain prepositions to my kids, as online definitions were not clear to me. Not only did it give a very clear definition and examples, I then found tremendously helpful and clear explanations all aspects of grammar (that I thought I had a good understanding of but discovered I was not quite as cognizant as I imagined). This books is worth five times the price I paid for it! Thanks very much to the authors who evidently put a lot of effort into making so clear and useful.

Good little book

Grammar and Language Arts is boring to teach and this book lays everything out very well and easy to take in. We use it to reference certain parts of speech like my daughter asked what an adjective was. We looked it up and she was able to see the definition as well as examples.

Super grammaire anglaise. Très facile à utiliser et très précise.Attention: tout est en anglais. Je la recommande très fortement
