Neat platform for micro-FPV. I love this tank!
There are many revisions of the tank and controller judging from the images of others. Some have an antenna which is why I took mine apart, no antenna in this version. There's a spot for it on the PCB and range is fair (20-30 feet). I modified it with a custom 3D printed FPV camera mount as a DIY platform for a home plumbing inspection bot. Need something that can turn around within a 3 or 4" pipe and this can do it. After playing with it for about an hour figured out there is a speed control and wide turn but the way you use them is unintuitive and the supplied directions are useless. The speed control is indeed the top trigger button as other have mentioned but the difference in speed is almost imperceptible. You can hear the sound difference the servo's make when in "high" or "low" speed mode but it's so minor its almost imperceptible. The wide turn buttons aren't a mode switch, they're a setting and a real pain to deal with. You have to click them many times and the pre-programmed arc of forward/reverse gets tighter with each setting. To go back to driving straight though you must manually undo the wide turn mode by setting the arc in the opposite direction until you're straight. This could take up to 20 button presses to accomplish. Less than ideal but the feature does work, its in there. The turret actually spins in 360, each button press toggles the turret to reverse direction which I took advantage of for mounting an FPV camera. There is no servo to raise or lower the turret. It's on a spring which actually makes the movement quite realistic and enjoyable to watch. The construction is great but i'll ripping most of it apart since the charging port, speaker, and on/off switch are on the bottom which is really bad for driving over anything liquid. There's a tiny 110mah lipo in the tank and it lasts a good while, very power efficient. For my project I'll probably have to upgrade the battery. I'm extremely happy with the purchase. It's actually better quality than I was expecting. There's no way I could make those tiny tank treads on my 3D printer. The turret & treads are delicate and probably won't last long in the hands of a small child and to my knowledge there's no way to purchase replacement treads separately. I would love to be able to purchase them separately to have spares. It's extremely hard to find an RC car let alone a tank this small. I wish the turret had a servo to go up/down. Honestly this tank is darn near perfect and I'll probably buy another.

fun little tank toy!
fun little toy! we got the green one. tank is a smidgen over 3 inches long (4-1/2 inches including the gun barrel) and 2 inches wide. takes 4 AA batteries in the remote control and then the remote plugs into the tank to charge the tank up. says it takes 1/2 hour but for us it only took about 5 minutes to get enough charge to test run the tank (maybe it arrived pre-charged?). did the full charge later on. one thing is that the box and instructions say the gun barrel can be raised and lowered but this function doesn't seem to work. there are two buttons on the remote that don't seem to do anything. also the tank is very fast! so fast it is not so easy to steer left or right while moving it forward. there is no speed/throttle control - its just stopped or full throttle so driving the tank around the floor is more of a series of short bursts of speed then stopping to change direction then going full throttle again. even so the kids love it! the top turret also can be turned left and right and there is a gun firing action where the tank makes a gun shooting sound and the tank itself kind of rolls back and forth like it is experiencing the recoil from the gun. that is pretty cool! other tings to note: there is a red light on the front of the tank and there is an engine sound (that's actual a bit loud) while the tank it switched on. one last tip: I found that removing one battery and then putting it back in would re-set the remote. had to do this a few times in the initial set-up. UPDATE: upon reading all the reviews and the instructions closer (the type is very tiny) - it says there is a slow speed by pressing the button on the top of the remote - doesn't work for me. the top button puts it into a DEMO mode where it does a forward and reverse run then a bunch of spins then stops. also read someone said there is a sound off function; can't find that either but a piece of tape over the speaker on the bottom helps quit it down a bit. the gun barrel up and down function seems to be only when the turret is turning and it does it on its own - i.e. you can't control it yourself. the two non-functioning buttons on my remote are supposed to be the 'fine tuning' [slow] turn left and right - they still don't work for me (saw a few reviews that said the same thing). mine is the green one which is operating at 27 Hz - others have said that the other colors operate on different Hz so if you want to have a "battle" you will want to have different colored tanks on different frequencies. but over-all for the price $15 it is highly detailed and fun for the kids - can't beat that!

Such an awesome little toy!!
I'm the type of guy who reads the description and details of everything I buy. A lot of the time I get disappointed because some feature mentioned doesn't work as neatly as it's described. Happens everywhere, right? Not here. Everything works exactly as the description painted my mind's image as. Excellent detail for a 1/72 toy, incredibly durable (I've accidentally driven it off several multi-foot drops and it's just bounced and kept going when set on it's tracks), and lots of fun. My personal favorite thing is to drive it over a dirt path or in an area that's just dirt and imagine it hunting Cromwells and Cruisers and M3 Lee's. The only thing I don't like is the low gear setting. It's only a slight difference from the high speed gear setting. It could stand to be a bit slower, but that's my own personal opinion. The battery in the tank lasts for a good 20'ish minutes, and it recharges in about 10-15. That maybe because of the batteries I have in the controller (Energizer Ultimate Lithiums), but I'm loving it. All in all, this is well worth the price tag. I don't know how long it'll last or when it'll eventually break and I gut it to make a small diorama and immortalize it, but untill then, I'm going to enjoy every minute it gives me.

Fun little tank with some flaws
The tank is cute and fun to play with once I got it working. Right out of the box the tank would not run. When switched on the front red LED would light up with engine sounds on. But it would not respond to any commands from the remote. I thought the tank needed charging so I plugged it to the remote but the remote light didn't come on. (According to the instructions, the light would come on until the tank is fully charged so I thought the tank came fully charged.) After some investigation I found the connections in the battery compartment to be loose and no power was going to the remote. This is basic quality control. Make sure something as mundane as the battery compartment is sound. (I think this is the reason for some of the poor reviews.) Once I tightened the connection terminals and got the remote working the tank works as advertised. One thing I dislike is the turning speed, it is simply too fast and extremely hard to control. If it can be slowed down then the tank would be a lot more fun.

This little thing is pretty awesome. I got two as presents
This little thing is pretty awesome. I got two as presents, and they were both loved. It feels like a solidly built toy, and the plastic isn't too cheap and flimsy. Plus, it has a bunch of sweet functions such as forward, backward, zero-turning, turret rotation, kickback when you fire it, and lights and sounds. Plus, the tank itself plugs into the remote to charge, so the 4 AA batteries are all you need. Pros: - it suprised me with all the little details and functions - it's pretty fast (even though the speed isn't to scale) - plastics feel decent - packaging looks cool and has a sweet compartment for the remote. Also, the design doesn't look reslly cheasily put together in a Chinese factory. It looks and feels like a solid reputable toy. Anddd then you open the instructions... a little tricky to understand, but there isn't much to it anyway Cons: - it's very small, and I can see pet hairs getting caught pretty easily and clogging up the axles (expected from this scale anyway) - one of the remotes wasn't controlling the tank, so I popped it open and soldered a wire that had popped out of the circuit board. It was an easy fix, and was probably because as soon as I got it, I dropped the box onto concrete from about 4 feet up. Nothing else broke, so Im happy with it! - there are two mysterious buttons on the remote that don't do anything, or at least I haven't figured it out yet. They don't work on either of the two I bought, so I'm guessing I just don't understand

Didn’t last very long!
This tank could easily be a five star product!! While it was working it was great fun! Looked super cool and controlled pretty well! The cats were curious about it but steered clear of it. So what’s the issue with this toy? The charging plug. Pure and simple. Change that to a better design and you guys have a winner! After two charges the pin inside of the tank that attaches to the charging cable of the controller, broke. I have read other reviews (AFTER I bought it) that had the same issue. It’s not a crazy expensive toy, but it should last longer than two charge-ups. Anyway, as stated above if they can fix the charging part of this toy, they have a great RC tank!! But in its current state I can’t recommend it. Which sucks because it’s so cool!! When it works it controls pretty well and makes a great Diesel engine sound too! The canon firing sound could use some MAJOR improvement though. The turret spins and it has some great detail! I have read other reviews about faulty treads but I can’t attest to that. If you buy one, just be aware that it might not last that long. 😕

Great Little "Tiger"
Really nice little replica of the mighty Tiger Tank. It is very detailed and all of the functions work as advertised. I have only played with it for one charge but I am extremely impressed on how well it works on low carpet. I cannot believe how much technology and functions the manufacturer managed to pack in such tiny package. I have always loved tracked vehicles and this one is no exception. Pros: - Inexpensive - Very detailed (I got a nice green camo paint scheme) - Sound FX (you can disable the sound effects for quiet operation) - The tracks move like a real tank!!!! - The turret rotates 360 degs. - Tank battery lasts a while - Radio is 27Mhz and not the crappy infrared Cons (not really a con for children): The only thing that could be improved, would be the tank speed, it is by no means scale (Very fast) but my kids won't mind that at all ;) Very pleased with the purchase!

Not Rechargeable
The Product looks Good but, after reading the reviews I am a bit hesitant on how long it’s going to Last. It shouldn’t have Batteries in this Day and Age. They both should be Rechargeable.
