Yes, this item ec0023n-v function can work with your  2004 nissan altima. but the key fob default  spare key blade is not fit for your car and you may need to replace it in your local locksmith.

You can buy an universal bypass module like dball2, 791 or 556u etc. to work with this item, just properly install it will be OK.

Please note that this is not a plug & play alarm and you need to connect all the necessary wires on it in order to get it works, due to complexity of this item, which required to be installed by a professional car alarm installer or trained alarm installer if you are not familiar with car electronics or have no alarm installation experience, please check if you can find one or not before purchasing.
