I've used Schmetz needles for years, and while I prefer the chrome embroidery needles, these are equally as great for a wide variety of projects.

All quilters and serious sewing folks need a ready supply of good needles. The Schmetz are the best, on my opinion.

I do a lot of machine embroidery and it is important to have a good sharp needle. Always have a spare on hand. Remember to change your needle after you have done a lot of heavy stitching. Good value.

I know these are embroidery needles, but after a lot of experimentation, they are my favorite size and type for machine quilting. They're sharp and the eye is big enough to work well for free motion quilting on my Elna machine. I was glad to find them in this quantity at a decent price.

I find that Schmetz needles are good quality, at least when the cases have needles in them. When I asked Amazon for help they gave me a phone number to contact Schmetz, but they never returned my call. Needles aren't all that expensive, but a decent company should at least include needles in their needle shipment and it would also be nice if they gave Amazon a way to actually contact them. I hear that Organ has decent needles. I will have to check them out.
