Works as one would expect: it is an internal computer cable. It doesn't have to look pretty.

I installed an exhaust fan on an old Windows XP computer that I am making into a retro gaming machine. The computer does not have any fan headers on the mother board so I needed this adapter to power it by a molex connector. It works fine but there is no control of fan speed which s fine with me.

Overall this is a good product for the price. Does what I need it to do. And the fact that I could get them black to match the rest of the cables in my case is a major bonus. I would have given a 5 star review but one of the pins in one of my adapters was bent. Not too big of a deal as this is a multipack and a gentle nudge puts the pin back in place but a bent pin is a bent pin.

This is a good cable.. its works with 2, 3, or 4-pin fans.. all fans will run at 100%, PWM speed reduction wont work. This is most commonly used to power fans without using the motherboard fan headers.

Best thing I can say about this was that it's a good thing I had a random 3pin to molex adaptor from a EVGA PSU from an older build sitting around. Both of the cables in this purchase showed up with the molex pins bent to the point of not being able to snap into the female part of the molex. At that point I figured it wasn't that bad, just straighten them out with pliers. This is when I learned that they weren't seated very well in the molex head in the first place so the connection was not great as the male ends were attempting to push out of the adaptor instead of socketing into the female head. Maybe it was a fluke piece, but *both* of the cables in this set were like this.

My case came with 4 fans in it. My Older power supply didn't have enough of the proper connector. Plugged this in and now all are running! Good price too!
