LeWitt Slipmat Record Mat (Pair, Black)

It may look cool - but it's not very functional. I had this thing sitting under a 25 lb. stack of books for over a week and it still will not lay flat. Missed the return window by a few days, so I guess I'm stuck with a giant coaster. Gave it two stars for looks only. Functionality is a one.

I wanted to like it as it was an improvement over the felt mat that came standard with my turntable that was a magnet for dust and static.The problem however is that the material is so stiff and slightly bowl shaped that it made the record sit unevenly on it. The result is that it makes even a flat record spin like its warped. The issue was somewhat mitigated by reversing the mat but there were still areas that pushed the record up making it uneven. Solved one problem but gained another. Oh well, on to the next one!
