5" 8 Hole Sanding Discs

Good quality sanding discs. Each grit is uniformly applied and the abrasives stayed on the disc. I've used cheaper versions where the abrasives flaked off pretty quickly, and where the edges and hole areas degraded very quickly. These are much better. I used most grits for furniture projects. All worked great, although the aggressive grits did not hold up as long as I would have liked. Even though they did not clog (was sanding down stained oak) they did seem to lose effectiveness fairly quickly. Once I switched out to a new pad, it was a noticeable difference. The finer grits seemed to last longer. Compared to cheaper discs, this is where I thought I might see more longevity and realize a bit more value for the more expensive price. So I think the premium price justifies the quality of each disc and I'm very happy with the results, I just wish I could find a more economical solution when doing bigger jobs.

I usually use Tigershark Abrasives, but they were out of what I needed so I tried this out. The quality is pretty decent, but it does tear easily if you’re sanding rough, uneven surfaces like a live edge. For sanding softer woods it does a great job and lasts quite a while. Sanding hard woods like walnut and maple it doesn’t last as long. The 80 and 100 hold up pretty well but any grit after that has a shorter lifespan than expected. I’ll still finish up the box but probably won’t buy it again. If you’re needing it for one project or just light finish sanding it’ll get the job done. If you’re making things in bulk or doing heavy and long sanding on the regular I wouldn’t recommend this brand.

Have you reached the stage of adulthood where you may have a favorite sand paper? Have you been in that stage for a while yet never found The One? If so, your search may be over! I bought this 6 months ago for one of dozens of projects in various stages of completion. I put it in its rightful place - hidden under a random instruction manual in my garage - and immediately forgot about it. Fast forward to now, when a new Urgent Project came up. I went through 2 3M sanding blocks that were constantly clogging and quickly wore down to just "paper". I was weighing my options to procure more when I remembered that these were ~somewhere~. I found them and selected the same grit the "sanding" blocks claimed to be, and got back to work. After mere seconds I could tell a HUGE difference. It was actually sanding! Quickly! And with minimal elbow grease! I used that single disc for the rest of the job, which was equal to the amount of work that decimated the sanding blocks, and I'm still putting it back because it's got plenty of life left. These are more expensive than your basic options at a hardware store, but I can confidently say they're worth it. They made the hardest part of the job easy and took 1/4 the time. I will pay for that any day!

Absolutely LOVE this sandpaper. This stuff lives up to its name! It lasts so much longer than the brands sold in “Big Box” stores. Will definitely be buying this sandpaper for all future needs.

I may not be the most savvy wood worker in the crowd, but this much I know - this is some seriously good sandpaper. I grew weary of chasing my "flying disk" bargain basement stuff around the shop so I took a chance on this product. What a difference! The hook-and loop attachment stuck like glue to my Makita palm sander. The dust produced by this paper was far greater than that from my cheap stuff, so I have to conclude that the grit is superior and that the wood removal is therefore accelerated. My only complaint is that the "mixed grit" package is not available in sizes greater than 220. Still, I will simply purchase finer grits in single sizes to round out my inventory. For me, this sandpaper is the real deal. I haven't used enough of it to have an opinion on its longevity. I'll just observe that a 25% reduction in usage from the cheaper varieties seals the deal for me!

I have used a lot of different sanding discs. My experience has been use for 5min and toss. My son suggested Serious Grit. Great product. From the first use I knew these discs were different. Now I get multiple uses from each disc.

These sanding disks are the best I have ever used, and I've used a whole bunch (cheap and less cheap). I never really understood why there were speed on my sander really, I always used it at max and spent hours sanding... I started as usual with a 220 to prepare varnish for a second coat and it completely removed it - super smooth tough... I had to start again but instead of taking me hours to sand the stair it took me 10 minutes - then I found out that speed on the sander has it's use, lowered it and it did the trick. I also used it for small corners by folding the disk - and I put it back on the sander - I could barely see I folded it - it usually just cracks. Big fan, will never work with anything else going forward - worth every penny - highly recommend.
