New Package Bergeon 6767-F Watch Spring Bar Tool - Long Stainless Steel Handle with Replaceable Screw

This is an exceptionally machined tool which I absolutely did not expect when ordering. I’m a machinist by trade, when I opened the package, I was shocked. Beautifully machined, exceptional threads, both end pieces unscrew which is a premium feature. The knurling is also perfect. AWESOME JOB! Someone clearly takes pride in their work—Swiss Made—that explains a lot. Buy it, it’s the best value you’ll ever get on Amazon for a tool like this.

The Bergeon 6767‑F initially felt like an unnecessary expense, but once put to use, the difference was clear. It’s significantly better than the generic tools included in most watch repair kits. The fine fork, solid handle, and overall precision make strap changes cleaner and more controlled. Given the performance and durability, it ends up being a good value.

I have a range of spring bar tools that I've received with different watches. Some are all metal, some double-sided, some plastic handles, they're cheap, but I've always made them work. I recently got a Longines with very tight tolerances, and my "good" tools didn't fit, so I was trying the smaller and worse quality tools that I had laying around. I could get one side off pretty quickly, but really struggled with the other. Before taking it to a pro I decided to try a nicer tool, and ordered this one. I started on the hard side, and got it off in about 10 seconds. I've been struggling for so long that I thought maybe I did the wrong side first. I flipped the watch and tried the other side, and it came off even faster. (for the record, I love the stock bracelet on the Longines, but the clasp is defective and they're sending me a new one. I just wanted to be able to wear my new watch while it shipped) I made sure to put this tool back in its factory packaging so I don't lose it. It's wonderful!

Haven’t had a chance to use this so I’m giving it four out of five stars but out of the packaging item appears to be phenomenal fit and finish. I’m sure it will be just fine when it comes time to swap it out some watch bracelets/straps. Feels real robust in the hand compared to the cheap cheesy ones that come with some of these straps.

So much better than the $8 one i bought from Amazon years ago. Not even close. this thing is a precision tool. Highly recommend.
