optical zoom is one of the salient features which in fact motivated me to buy this camera. Both still pict and video output are of fine quality. The video quality is indeed amazing. The camera is powered by four AA alkaline batteries and the backup (if it is rechargeable) would remain even after 150 snaps. Unfortunately the camera developed some technical snag within 3 weeks from the date of purchase (Lens error) and I had to approach Nikon service centra at Kochi to tide over this problem. I was told that the lens had to be replaced by a new one. This was a new product launched in Jan 2014 with optical zoom extending upto 34x (from 28x in ithe previous model L820). It is not clear whether anyone who has bought this encountered with similar problem. Neverthless I would rather suggest the camera is really worth its salt and the picture quality is amazing as though it were taken using SLR camera. Warranty period is for two years.

I m pleased with Amazon's service.. The camera is fits really perfect on its budget.. even it does more... the camera quality is awesome... like u r taking pictures with dslr.. the rotation enable display helps me a lot.. pictures are sharp... a really cool feature is slow motion video recording... it comes with 34x zoom.. which is really very nice but picture quality is still good on that zoom... I have got 4 AA non recharchable and 4 4 rechargable nikon batteries with 2100 mah each.. and with a charger also.. i m really satisfied .. And a big thanks to amazon ... keep it up ...

The Camera is a really good purchase. I have gone through enough reviews in internet amongst the various options available and this is the best camera on a sub 15000 budget if you are looking for a decent zoom, low light photography and crisp and clear images. I would have rated this 5 star, but the 2 stars got eaten by Amazon Only the bad part of my buy was that I decided to buy on Amazon. It seems that Amazon and its courier partner GATI has the worst delivery time available amongst all the Indian e-retailers. Ordered this on 13th Oct 4 PM and got the delivery on 28th Oct 3 PM and that too it took all the these time coming from Mumbai to Kolkata. Bullock carts are faster than this I beleive. But anyway the packing the was good and also the invoices were in proper order. If you don't care when your orders will reach you. Definitely go for Amazon

first tk to amazon to deliver it the next day,packaging was excellent. product-for the price i got it for,this is an excellent cam. clarity is very good. works fairly in low light as well. the zoom doesnt affect the quality till a level,ofcourse at full zoom,it does get affected. the 18 modes are handy(or at least a few of them r very good)

Am new to photography. I was in a dilemma to choose between Canon Sx510 HS and Nikon L830 and finally decided to go with Nikon Just for its look and size. Canon was too small in my hands and I seem to lose grip in it. Any how both are great camera makers. I love the product and seller was also quick enough to deliver my product . Only sad thing is price got reduced by 1000rs after my purchase was made :(. With this order I have many experiences with various stake holders. I brought this item during Diwali offer time. About Vendor: I have ordered 2 times with "Techo Mart" Every time this vendor auto cancelled it after 2/3 days. When I called Amazon they said stock is out of order. I really don't understand why it takes 2/3 days to realize the stock is out of order. Finally I order from 'Saholic' and he delivered. I got a sealed pack with all accessories. Product date was just 2 months old. So pretty happy with 'Saholic'. About Amazon transport: As promised amazon has delivered in 24 hours. But they delivery boy was very careless. It was raining from the morning on that day. He did not bother at all. When he delivered half of the package is wet. When I touched it. the package peeled into pieces. Fortunately water did not enter till the product. This was not expected from "AMAZON FULFILED" product. About Camera: Contents of the package are: Camera Lens cover Camera strap Onetime use batteries-4 Nikon batteries rechargeable -4 Nikon Battery charger Charger cable HDMI cable TV out cable USB cable Sandisk 8 GB class 10 Memory card Camera case. I checked the snaps with onetime use batteries. I could shot around 380 pictures with them. So not bad. Zoom is incredible. I have taken the picture of a poster around 1.5 KMs from my home. Its pretty good. Only problem with the zoom is its unstable as you zoom-in. You can use tripod if you are serious about the photographs. Indoor and night photos are crisp and detailed. HD video recording is great. Overall I am highly satisfied with the product. Canon SX510 is serious competitor in this price range. SX510 takes better pictures. But I took this one as it has auto focus. I don't want to miss kids memorable movements in adjusting the focus. Sony H400 is superior to this camera in many ways. But it comes with extra ~7K price tag. For me at 11.6K Nikon L830 is the best buy.

Good camera... Although can't compare this with DSLR but was able to click several shots, which looks like taken from DSLR. Camera was also delivered with 8 batteries (4 chargeable and 4 one time use) and charger. It was not mentioned in the specifications but received with Camera inside the box. Have used it now during a trip and clicked more than 250 pics.. pretty sharp pictures and happy with the result. Still using the one time usable batteries received with the camera and batteries still have power left even after clicking 250 pics... more to go...
