Targus USB 2.0 Micro Bluetooth Adapter (ACB10US1-60)

I recenetly bought a netbook and thought that it came with Bluetooth. Later realizing that I could add a Bluetooth Module for a price I then decided to go this route. The adapter came in a timely manner. I plugged it in loaded the software and was able to attach the Bluetooth mouse with no problems. The netbook runs Windows 7 Home Premium and it has not had any issues running for several weeks. What's nice is now I can transfer photos from my mobile to the netbook through this air interface rather than using a USB Cable. I highly recommend this product. I have seen it priced as high as $39.99 at some of the larger electronics stores. Amazon is amazing at even beating Costo prices many times.

My wireless headset does not work clearly with this product. The headset works fine with my phone. It sounds like I'm down a well when I use the adaptor, when I switch the headset back to my phone I sound fine. But I suppose you get what you pay for.

I originally bought this adapter because it was on a friend's gift list. When it arrived I decided to try it out, you know, to make sure it was working properly before gifting it. So I then bought my own. It is really small, and it fits perfectly into my netbook without sticking out so much it would get snagged on something. Installation was zero issues on Windows 7 starter using the included mini CD. And this price with free shipping is going to be hard to beat, and it arrived within a couple days of ordering it.

Uploaded ok. My computer tried to do it without the disk but I had to make the bluetooth software was actually loaded. The initial set up was a little tricky. But once it is sit up it works great. Has the expected range and quality. Sometime the link to my wireless headphones takes a little bit to clear up, it will connect sounding like a radio, but then I will come in crystal clear after that. I think its just a matter of the devices syncing up. (the head phones are the backbeat903)

I received this item promptly after order, but I should have been told by seller the disc would not install right. This is my second of same item the first of which was very loose in the USB. Received a replacement and same thing. Finally I got it to do right, but yet I had spent 3 hours trying to get the disc to install the software into my computer. Worked on this issue for 3 days. Finally gave up went to the Targus website and sent them a letter letting them know of this issue. The next day I received an email with instructions as to what I needed to do. I had to uninstall the software and then go to the website supplied by manufacture and install what they told me to do. Turns out the disc is bad and no ones computer can read the information supplied on this disc for a Vista PC. Well now that I have installed the proper software this thing works like a charm. That is why I rated this item a neutral and not a neg. Waste of money at first then when the right stuff is installed makes it all worth wild. 11-04-20012 Update: Well because we have not used this item in a couple months and was ready to transfer more pics from our cell to computer, this device no longer works. Yep ya get what ya pay for and what I paid for was trash and nothing more. One would think an item one bought would at least last a year, BUT NOOOOOO not in this case. Stay away very far away from purchasing this item. Go read complaints and reviews before buying an item. Now I have to spend more money to buy a new item that is totally trustworthy. Listed to what your gut tells ya if it looks or sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Little (teeny) device works well. HOWEVER, you must go on the internet and update the software before it works correctly. I use it with earphones-computer connection as well as telephone-computer. Seems to work for about 50 ft (without obstructions); shorter distance with obstructions. I'm still a little new to using bluetooth devices so it may just be I don't know all the ins and outs, but it seems a little awkward getting devices connected with the menus and stuff.

I bought two of these blue tooth USB gizmos. They came in minimal packagiing which I like but I'm still getting used to. Set up was so easy a GEICO ad writer could do it. One is in an older computer and one in my laptop. My Droid X can find both to use as speakerphones. Conversely my computers can connect to my bluetooth stereo headphones for wireless listening to Netflix or Hulu. Highly recommended.

Spent over three days deciding which device to buy to hook my new plantronics bluetooth headset. I got it today, and have spent three hours trying to configure it. No luck. No plug and play for headsets. Hopefully, I'll get it to work tomorrow.
