I am trying to DIY build barn doors for a 2ft by 4ft light panel for my photography lighting and was wondering if the hinges would let me open barn pa

I use it for 2 boards 4”x6” to fold up and open as a drawing board. It’s probably a little over kill but the tension lets me keep the board semi open and stays. Strong enough so I can draw on it that way. Hope that helps

What's the screw size for the tension screw? Trying to find substitute that has a flat head so that the hinge will lie flat when closed.

I used a 5mm Chicago head screw for the same reason. Any flat head machine screw will work.

Would two hinges hold open a 20" X 40 " piece of plexiglass 1/4 inch thick

I don’t think so. I use them on an easel and they only take about 2 pounds before slipping.
