I’ve been using this converter for over a year now, and it has been nothing short of exceptional. As someone who values consistent electrical output, this converter has exceeded my expectations. I was concerned that this product was not going to be of high quality or even configured as advertised, as with some many other voltage converter. But I was pleasantly surprised. The quality is much better than expected, the features are all as advertised, and easy to use/setup. Instructions are very simple and inadequate, need to be revised, especially for a novice user. The power rating is definitely within the specification reported, plus about 2-3%, Unit runs cool and is quite. After evaluation of this unit I brought a second unit. Hard to bet the price vs.capabilities.

Solid! Impressive build quality; It was striking when I first saw it. (I bought the 1,500V version.) I plugged in a 500WS 200V AC photography monolight into this and used it to cover parts of a wedding. It didn't fail, even with the light at full power. In testing, I tried to push it by plugging two of the 500WS monolights in at once, and cranking both to maximum. Then it _did_ fail after awhile, triggering its built in breaker. There was no damage to the device nor my lights. (Plugging in both lights but at lower power settings worked fine, but note it wasn't an extensive test.) I imagine if I had the higher-rated transformer, the test would have proven successful.

We use this for Chinese appliances that require 220 VAC single phase. This 1500 watt converter does the job and works fine on a 15 amp 115VAC circuit. We use it for 1000 watt induction cooker for Kung Fu tea set as well as hair dryer. It did have a strong odor when I took it out of the box but it has since dissipated. It is a little heavy but we keep it under the tea table where we use it daily. Overall very good product.

I bought four of these LT-1500's for high power 240v equipment at work, and they work great! I went for this model because it includes the useful extra plug which will take and ground french and german plugs. I was a little skeptical of quality due to reviews of other models, so I opened each one to make sure. There is a nice potted toroidal transformer inside, all connections are nicely soldered and heat shrunk, and no electronics to fail. Hot glue is only used to hold things from moving, as a backup to the main mounting hardware. Make sure you select 120V on the switch on the back! There are two pass-through 120V plugs on top and two 240V plugs on the bottom. (If you flip the switch, the bottom plugs pass through and the top has half voltage) The free euro adapter for its power cable was only included with 2 out of the 4, but we don't need it anyway. The power light burned out on one, but function is not affected. These are very nice, especially for the price, just be sure to get one rated much higher wattage than you need.

This is my 3rd product from LiteFuze and certainly not the last one. Very durable, not loud at all, does not head up and the other 2 have been working perfectly fine for almost 3 years now. Just make sure you do not push the limits with the sum of the connected Watt. Check the list with the efficiency factor before you decide for a transformer. The lower the factor the more efficient the transformer. "Transformer size" = "Wattage of Product" times "E. Factor" Example: Blender (350W) X (1.5) = 525 Blender (350W) X (2) = 700 Blender (350W) X (1.25) = 437

I got this transformer to use US appliances in Germany, such as my roomba vacuum cleaner station. No issues when using the Transformer in the US, I tried it out before flying it to Germany. However, on the 240V net in Germany, every time au'd switch on the transformer the circuit breaker in my house would trip. I got really frustrated thinking I flew that heavy thing across the Atlantic for nothing. Reading the reviews I found out that other customers had the same issue... ~75% of the time!? Turns out, sometimes it does not trip the circuit breaker and works just fine. It turns out the initial power needs seem to be too much. However, my trick is to flick on the power switch on the transformer really fast. That seems to do the trick and everything works. So I'd say not perfect... but when it works, it works very well... silently.

This is the second LiteFuze step down transformer I've purchased since a competitor product had the polarities reversed on the 110V outlets. I tested all outlets on this transformer and they were 110V and 220V as designed and the polarities were correct. I have only tested this in 110V North America system but will be testing it soon on 220V system when I move overseas. Not expecting any issues. Product looks well built, does not make any noise when attached to a load, and does not seem to generate any heat. Even managed to test a 1500W kettle on this 1500W transformer without tripping its fuse (typically you should have a transformer rated 1.5 times higher than your expected load) although I don't plan on running that much power through it longer term. Good product!

I bought two of these for use of American appliances in the UK. Both do the job they were purchased for, and are still working two years later.

Buen producto. Es algo grande, pesado y ocupa espacio, pero cumple muy bien con su función y mis aparatos trabajan bien con él.

Work both way step up or down, becareful with the selector in the back and put the correct input voltage, mine was set to 220v at delivery instead of 110v in my region. Work great and have a overload protection switch.
