Macally Bluetooth Number Pad for Laptop - Wireless Numeric Keypad - 22 Key Numeric Keypad for Data Entry, Numpad Compatible with MacBook, iPad, iPhone, iOS, Laptop, PC, Android

I purchased this bluetooth keypad with a very specific goal in mind—and this turned out to be tremendously successful, truly exceeding expectations. In order to be able to watch Netflix movies with subtitles both in the original language and in English, I use the Chrome extension, “Language Learning with Netflix”. However, since this extension currently only works with Chrome and when Chrome is running on an actual computer, this means I must use HDMI output from the computer into a TV monitor. A beauty of the system, though, is the ability to move quickly back and forth, pause, and the like—which is controlled by using the up, down, left, and right arrow buttons on the computer’s keypad. Well, with this relatively inexpensive remote keypad that includes the 4 arrow keys, all can be accomplished while sitting at a comfortable viewing distance, with great ease. And because the remote is so lightweight, simply holding it in one’s hand continuously is essentially effortless. The arrow keys are extremely easy to locate just by feel, so one’s eyes never need to leave the screen. The device connected to my MacBook Pro laptop very easily. I use the on-off switch to turn it off after use to save battery life (theoretically, although I haven’t yet had to do a battery change, despite many hours of usage). And then when I switch it back on, it connects back to the computer almost instantly, with no fiddling needed on my part. As a bonus, the number keys themselves have further usefulness when using this system, since they can be used to slow down or speed up playback speed. Highly recommended product.

works well. Never loses the connection to the computer and the buttons have a soft but firm texture and always register your keystrokes.

It works and connects easily to Bluetooth devices. Battery holds up and the scissor switch is high quality enough for what it is. The base will concave inwards pressing the “5” key so that key is really squishy.

So far this is the cat’s meow. I had another brand that failed miserably so I returned it and bought this one. I am very pleased so far. I had some sort of little glitch when I connected it this time but I managed to get it. We will see if it glitches again as it should just connect as soon as I turn the power button on. The ten key pad is awesome for inputting numbers into a spreadsheet program using my Ipad pro. Also, something I found out - I had read that only two bluetooth items could be connected to this Ipad at once. Not the case, so far I have a keyboard, a mouse and this ten key all connected at once and it sure makes navigating, typing for emails, inputting numbers to crunch etc. soo much easier. So much more efficient than trying to type anything with the on screen keyboard. It would take days to write an email of any useable size with the onscreen keyboard where I can type damn near as quick with the little chicklet keyboard compared to a full size keyboard in a matter of a few minutes - so heads up for the uninitiated as I was until now.

Worked perfectly well. Just like it said it would. Very easy to set up and no leg. Love it

Bought this 4 months ago, but it totally stopped working. If they send me a new one quickly, and easily without me needing to pay for shipping to send this old one back and get a new one then I'll update this review. When it was working, it was fine. The first time each day that I'd use it would lag for that first keypress, but otherwise stayed connected and was mostly as responsive as the normal keyboard on my macbook pro. Construction of the case is just thin plastic, but that was fine with me so long as the components inside would've been able to last more than four months. For reference before determining it was broken - I did all the test, changed the battery - I can't get it in pairing mode, no LED comes on, so it is pretty clear it is dead as a doornail.

This is my 4th Macally wireless item. I continue to purchase this brand because they pair easily with my MacBooks and are exceptional quality for the price. I'm disappointed that this keypad burns through batteries, though. I thought it would "sleep" when I'm not using it, but it seems to use a battery whether I'm using it or not. It isn't very helpful to have to turn a keypad on every time it's needed. It functions well, but it goes through batteries quickly.

Have only had the keypad for a few weeks, but so far it works as advertised. All keys work, no problems with bluetooth connection, and I actually like the AA battery power vs. having to recharge the unit. Keys are slightly mushier than on my Macbook Air, but it's not been a problem.

Por ahora es funcional. Apenas llevo 1 día probándolo. Me encontré que al escribir los números no hacía nada, pero es tema de configuración del teclado en pantalla

Pairs quickly with my MacBook all buttons function. Looks great and battery life so far seem very good. Very happy with the price I paid.

It does the job well and have not struggled with connectivity at all. Dont listen to the bad reviews, they simply havent read the instructions. The only bad thing about the keypad is that the battery needs replacing. Built in li ion battery would have been better but this does afford you longevity in the item its self as the batteries can be replaced. It is also cheaply built. It is plastic and not metal.

Llevo mas de 1 mes con él. Funcional, cómodo. Es de plástico. No se traba y conecta bien. Usa una batería recargable (incluida). Hasta el momento ha funcionado bien

Issues with connectivity with laptop. Does not consistently connect.
