I have a 16 ft office desk that I sit at all day long, and usually most of the night as well. I got this specifically so I could use it as an under-desk glow. I can use the remote to change the atmosphere of the room instantly. The length was just enough to double back on itself under the desk - adding more glow. It came with convenient clips to hold it up. It's a little stiff so I used wide swooping corners when I doubled back. I had to lay under the desk and use those little bitty screws to put in the clips, so it was fiddly to install, but not difficult. I love the different colors, and I appreciate the remote so I can control what color I want, if I want it to pulse or flicker or just be off. (It's never just off ~ but it could be if I wanted it to be!) It was good value for the money, it's going to be under the desk forever and it's really cool.

After reading the reviews, and the large label on the lights, I did not plug the lights in while on the roll. I unrolled the lights and checked for dead spots or groups that didn't change. I did have 1 foot of lights that did not turn a few colors, but after an hour, and ever since, the entire strip works perfectly. The remote has a short distance but these are lining my back porch, 80 feet around. I bought 3m double sided tape(doesn't come with) and used the hooks that the lights came with to hang(buy screws, none come with). Overall I am extremely happy and would recommend these.

AVOID! Terrible product. Order 2 of them and neither works. Not eligible for refund or exchange on Amazon.

This report is for the 20m RBG LED strip (60 LEDs/m) from IAKOV. I am using this strip to replace an old halogen strip that goes all around the soffit in our master bedroom and 20m is just the length I needed for that. This is a substantial LED string, quite heavy and wider than most, holding its shape well. I did not want it just held straight to the wall, since half the light would then be "wasted" within the soffit, so placed supports at 18" intervals to hold it facing slightly upward, 30deg off vertical; the string does not sag or twist from support to support. The strip is very bright and the colors are good. The remote is IR, which is acceptable, but not ideal -- you have to aim it just so; a radio-frequency remote would be better. When power is first turned on, the string starts in a maddening blinking mode -- it would be better for it to start in a fixed color or in the smooth color-changing mode. This is day 1 in use, so no report yet on durability -- I'll update this report in a few months. It does warm up after some time on -- the manufacturer recommends not keeping it one for too many hours per use; the dimming function works fine, so for our bedroom, I am keeping it on the lowest dim setting. One comment regarding the packaging: the item came in a reused box, in what appears to be the box for different IAKOV product (for fixed-color LED strings), and the clips included in the package were too small for this string. Fortunately, since the web page did not indicate that the package came with clips, I had ordered the recommended IAKOV clips as an additional item and those fit just fine. (The smaller ones in the box where identical in looks and construction, but too narrow for the string.) I assume the mismatch is a consequence of Amazon returns -- if not, then the seller should be more careful.

The lights are great. They are very bright. We had them installed under the pool deck. They worked a total of 7 times in the less than 2 months that they have been installed. The controller is in a sealed water proof box but the remote will Not turn the the lights on. We have opened the box checked the controller and everything seems to work. I believe the remote is the issue. From the first time we used it you have to be directly in front of the eye. It took several times of pushing the button to get the lights to work. you are very limited in the light functions. Our previous lights work with an app and we had several color options. These are very limited. I wish the lights connected to an app because they are bright and twice as many lights as other companies. I hope I can resolve this issue since i have quite a bit of money tied up them.

These lights are great. They are bright when turned up all the way, but dim nicely as well. The various colors are great. I just wish they could be operated with a mobile app (which is why I rated 4/5 stars). Though I was concerned about the remote, due to some of the reviews, my remote is just fine. I definitely recommend these lights.

Still works great after a couple years but the plastic clips fell apart and I had to buy steel ones

After trying the 12volt LED lights, I found that these 110 - 120 volt lights are brighter and more durable. They give off a nice hue without being overbearing with brightness.

Overall these are great, high quality lights. However the timer setting does not work. It will save my colour choice and flash settings but the timer does not work for some reason. I have to manually turn them on and off each day. Other than this issue I am happy with the quality of the lights. Install was okay - I could have used more of the mounting clips for the amount of length in the roll as well, also screws were not provided.
