"Bi Alert! Bi Alert!"
This is the first time i read a "Bi" themed novel. I was kinda disappointed about the ending. There would've been a better ending knowing the character himself. A sick twist yeah. The worst part (for me) well, ending up with the (girl) friend whom you actually thought was a tertiary character that would eventually fall off and forget she even existed...like the character bears no importance. If the writer made the ending for the sake of a twist...it didn't come out well...especially for gay readers who would appreciate that he would end up with Robert (too bad) (or at least a meaningful ending with Dennis - Oh my God, how i wish there's sequel ending up with him).If this is the kind of story that would end up being a "straight" ever after. Then I wouldn't recommend it to my gay friends. There was no indication that the character may be "bi" in the beginning of the story. He's a great guy, engaged with the hottest black men possible. There was not even an indication that Victor became confused about his feelings from his previous experiences - it just came out suddenly that...oh...its ok...i think i love a woman! The story goes very quickly which is good but the shock at the end made it want me NOT to read a "Bi" themed story coz its just sad. A twist that is not in a good spotlight. There are a lot of lessons to be learned especially the scene where Victor was talking to his dad talking about homosexuality, sharing lessons learned to a friend, giving advises etc. I might give the writer 5 stars. So sad though.Maybe I'm saying this because I'm gay..you know... i wanted him to end up with a guy. I may never get into a Bi's perspective. So, a star is quite enough.Could somebody please warn me the next time I'm going to read a Bi-themed book. I might just well read a straight love story than to end up very disappointed with such endings.

The title fits perfect for this book..
I really enjoyed it. It made me think a lot about my own relationships and I realized that I was relating to Vic relationships a little more than I thought I would. Wow, this book make you think. Love is blind and you see what you want sometimes. But you gotta love yourself to know when you deserve better. That's what I loved about the book.On the other hand, I wasn't to crazy about the writing style when it first started off. Some of the way the stuff was worded kind of threw me sometimes. But, the more I read the better I started to like it. I wish it would have finished with him with the same sex . Give me a little hope.(Lol). But overall this is a well written book. If you like books that have you deeply engaged and doing some reflecting on your own self. You gonna love this.

An Okay Read.....
4 stars I will be giving this book. It was sad....a little depressing but a joyous victory at the end. The author really showed the traumatic experience a person goes through in life starting from childhood to adulthood searching for love in all the wrong places. The only itch I had with the story. I felt Victor was kind of a "slut" and slightly "naive" by trusting people that crosses his path. Overall, it was an okay read.

good read
Although I really enjoyed this book I found it odd how victor jumped from one relationship to the next so quickly and fell in love just as fast. Also, it was weird to me that he started dating females again after such a long stint of dating guys with no mention of the attraction he still had for females. Overall I really enjoyed this book. I've never been in an abusive situation and this book really detailed the troubles one can deal with in a gay relationship.

Finished in record time...
I'm the type that NEVER finishes a book within the first few days of beginning reading it. This book, along with classics like Jurassic Park and 2001: A Space Odyssey, is the exception.I told myself that I'd get around to reading it, once I'd cleared my reading schedule, but I picked it up on a recent Saturday and had finished it by the following Tuesday. It's a page-turner that will take you on an incredible journey and sometimes have your head spinning.

I read this book in one day! Excellent writing! Page turner for sure!
I would recommend everyone read this! Victors life had some very tumultuous twists and dark places that made me cry right along with him. I hated that he didn't get the chance to really have an experience with "Caliph" because of the accident but that whole part of his love life touched me deeply. Everybody needs a Dennis in their life, loved his character as well...at the end it had me wanting them two to be together despite his marriage to Janine...Raw, gripping, true love, mystery, drama this book was all of that and I can't wait to read the sequel! I am truly a fan of sweet Vic!

Smashing book!
This book is a must read! I truly enjoyed it from beginning to end. The main character Victor was brilliant. He had somewhat humble beginnings and a abusive childhood and he manifest himself in promised love from the same sex. His ordeal through life is so surreal, more or less. I just couldn't put the Kindle down during office hours. I was just so caught up on Vic's direction on his trials and tribulations. At some point on reading this book, it was heart felt where as you chook up with emotions. I was truly satisfied on reading this book. You wouldn't be disappointed on the well written events of the main character.

Good Read
It was a good read. I do feel like I was on a roller coaster from time to time from all the ups and downs. There were a lot of characters to keep up with and it somewhat over populated the story. Never the less I would recommend this book to a reader.
