Good rail
Quality made replacement rail for M1a squad scout. Easy to install. Works good.

This offers a longer rail and it was easily attached to the barrel. I had to trim the upper forearm just a little.

Perfect for M1A squad scout.
Perfect for my squad scout. I'm not sure how it compares to the factory one though because it was already removed when I bought it. This is they only substitute I have found.

Perfect fit but...
Everything about it is great but be aware it still will not bring a standard rifle scope with the normal eye relief up close enough unless you have a canted mount with about a 2 to 3 inch cant and then you will need a cheek rest to account for the added height.

Warps the handguard
I put this on my M1A SOCOM16 and installation was not "slap a red dot on a rail" easy but it wasn't very difficult. However, for something specifically designed for the M1A there is a pretty annoying error. The width of the rail mount bows out the hand guard when is out back on. This doesn't effect the rail and doesnt appear to damage the hand guard but it concerns me that it may have long term effects and that in a few years it may crack. Fine for a short term solution but I'm waiting for the Springfield scope mounts to come back in stock
