This heatshrink is legit! Very durable, thick and shrinks very well. Glue sealant inside works well. A bit of info though. 1- 1/4" measurement is diameter of tubing. The width (flat measurement) is almost 2 inches wide FYI. I am using it to seal XT90 connectors for Electric RC boat. Tubing shrinks down to around a 1/2" diameter. See pics

This is a very well made product. I needed something that could shrink at least 2-1/2 times and this 3x stuff did the trick. It is tight gripping and the adhesive liner adds to that feature. Now, I am using this in an outdoor application, so it will take some time for me to assess how durable it is. For now I am very pleased.

These work pretty well for hermetically sealing up electrical connections. The adhesive lining works well. If anyone doesn't see some adhesive starting to ooze out of the ends, that means you're not heating it up hot enough or long enough. Use a heat gun (not a hair dryer). But one thing I discovered through testing is that the adhesive is not really very "fuel resistant". To test it against fuel I shrank some pieces of this around some stainless steel rod. Then I placed those in a jar of gasoline. After only a few hours, the black plastic (polyolefin?) outer part looked okay, but the adhesive had swelled up and oozed out like a big spongy white blob. So I wouldn't count on these holding up long term to fuel. Probably okay for a quick splash of fuel protection though like on the exterior fuel tank sender connections. I used these for some automotive wiring under the car, and I think they'll work great to keep the connections water tight. I wouldn't use them for something like inside of a fuel tank on the fuel sender though. For the price, it's a nice selection of sizes, and a convenient way to store eveything.

I had almost given up on tubing but this stuff is great! Heavy duty! Heat it until the waterproofing goo comes out of the ends. So much better than the old school thin stuff!

The power pole Spikes on my boat were starting to get a little splintered from the sun. After my buddies kid got some fiber glass stuck in his legs, I decided to give this a shot. Works like a charm! Also made them look nice again. Once roll did 2 with extra material left over. I assume this should hold up for a long time.

I purchased the XHF UL Listed 1 Inch (25mm) 3:1 Waterproof Heat Shrink Tubing to be used on a submersible pump wire. I used it with a 14 gauge 3 conductor royal type wire. I had already sealed each wire connection (3) with waterproof heat shrink tubing with adhesive, but since the wire will be going in the water, I wanted to insulate all the connections and the wire itself, so I bought the 1" size of the XHF 3:1 waterproof heat shrink tubing so as to slide over all three waterproof connections. It concerned me that the XHF heat shrink tubing would not shrink enough to adhere to the 14 ga. wire itself.....but it did! The XHF heat shrink tubing did a marvelous job of shrinking around the three already insulated connections and then it shrank enough to adhere to the cable insulation itself, oozing out the glue on the ends to confirm it adhered! I am impressed! The XHF heat shrink tubing is not the normal thin heat shrink tubing you use for smaller wires, but is adequately thick too! I was impressed with the thickness and durability of this heat shrink tubing, even once it shrank.It was easy to use, as I just cut off the length I needed to cover the exposed 3 wire connections and and extra couple of inches on each end, to cover the cable itself. I then used a standard heat gun/paint stripper to heat the shrink tubing. It did as advertised.....shrunk enough to provide waterproof insulation with an adhesive. It didn't come with instructions, but if you heat from the center of the tubing (keeping the heat gun moving continuously) outward to each end, you should get the same satisfactory results as I got. I am pleased with this purchase and feel confident that it will provide the results (waterproof and durable) that I was looking for! Yes, I would purchase again!

Works great for grip on picks

Used it to seal and waterproof a marine antenna that was previously cracked. Used epoxy and fibreglass to repair it. Then used the 1” shrink tubing to seal it. Worked great and the colour matched the colour of the antenna.

Should have ought this type a long time ago. It has adhesive on the inside and guarantees waterproofing it is all thicker material and shrinkage is very good goes down to a small size
