Thundershirt for Cats, Large

Absolutely love this for my fur baby, she has major separation anxiety because I am usually at home, so when I leave she frets, chews her fur and get a strange odor. Ordered this after coming home to get in the worst state I’ve seen her and when it arrived the next day put it straight on her for, she was not happy at first but she got used to the feel of it quite fast, after a couple of hours there was a noticeable difference. The next time I went out for a couple of hours I put it on her and when I got home she was much better than usual, no odor and pottering round the house. I have not tried this for longer than a few hours yet but so far so good and I will carry on using it. She likes to be held tight when she is anxious which is why I tried this, we have tried everything else going, feliway, medication, you name it and this is by far the best thing we’ve tried!

As a Vet Nurse I've seen & been aware of the success of Thundershirt for a long time. But first time I used on my own animals. My sister purchased 1 for her terrier for fireworks & car journeys & success was amazing. I bought a cat shirt for my cat with over-grooming behaviour. Cat has often had "jumpers" on at Halloween & Xmas that last about 10seconds. This shirt, I gradually put on her with treats. She tolerates. It calms her down completely & she usually just falls asleep wearing. They still are cats so will act like their legs are affected, which they're not!! and she'll walk in a crouched position. But never cries/meows wearing it. And it def stops her grooming behaviour. As a vet nurse I'll continue to recommend.

I bought this for my rescue with PTSD who paces a lot and often can't settle. It works really well. She doesn't particularly mind wearing it and it is definitely making a big difference. The only thing letting it down is the thinnish fabric on the neck straps which has already ripped because sometimes my cat tries to get those straps off with her fangs. I wish the fabric on those parts was thicker and more durable. Despite this I really recommend it. My cat has been more settled since I started using the Thundershirt on her. 4.5 stars. Update 4 Months later: I had to replace the Velcro on the neck strap with heavy duty Velcro as it kept on coming off. The entire Thundershirt is also bobbly. It still works really well, though, so I will bite the bullet and probably end up buying two new ones per year.

We bought one thundershirt to try for both of our cats. We have two rescue cats who both suffer from anxiety. In particular one of our cats really suffers from any loud noise, the postman scares him and even answering the front door can be a problem. Our other cat suffers from anxiety sepertion and so after trying lots of different techniques, medications and lots of feliway we decide to buy one and see how things went. I must say that I'm absolutely amazed at the results! We have put the shirt on both of our cats twice now and I can't believe the difference. Neither of them attempted to remove the shirts and they became calm instantly. They did walk around strangely for a little while, almost as if they were a bit drunk but this soon resolved. I think it will make a difference to both of them and we will certainly be buying a 2nd!

I bought this product for my cat who is fine at home but gets very anxious at vets or when having to travel in crate anywhere. I would have judged him as a small to medium cat (he was the runt of the litter) and weight 4.2kg. The shirt was fine lenghtways but way too small to go round, so I ended up having to send it back. I've looked at the large but that seems quite a bit bigger, so not sure if it will have the right effect. As soon as I tried it, he did promptly lie over on his side on the floor but we weren't able to do the ultimate test and try a trip to the vets. Well made product though and I would have liked to get one to fit.

I desperately bought these because I have two cats that fool around like a teenage punk rock concert each night making it impossible for me to sleep and ruining my life.. I was hoping that I could finally get some sleep by putting these thundershirts on the cats, but they simply take off the neck thing and they don't calm down at all!!! I have desperately bought all three sizes to try and find the correct size. The small size is super tiny and will probably only fit kittens, the medium and large one I can fit on each of my two cats, but it's no problem for them to get the neck thing off and they don't calm down! I've been patient and gradually tried to make them used to wearing them for short durations over a couple of days and I have wasted money on buying different sizes of thundershirts to find the correct sizings.. No luck, I must continue to daydream about getting a proper night's sleep.. or get rid of the cats

This has worked well stopping our cat from over washing himself. You do need to take time to build up how long you put it on them initially as our cat walked around like a shocked lizard initially but then got used to it.

Very happy with this product. Easy to follow instructions. Cat is currently wearing it for about 2 mins to help him get used to it.

I’ve tried everything for my anxious cat. The behaviours he shows are extensive, including separation anxiety - specifically pawing at my door when I’m working in my office; pooping on the floor outside the bin, increased vocalization, dominating his brothers and attacking his sister cat. I’ve tried Prozac., other herbal remedies such as zylkene etc, feliway, even seeing a behaviourist and nothing worked! The thunder shirt I put on him and within 10 minutes he’s calm, he is quiet, and the problem behaviour has disappeared. Unfortunately, I’ll have to wear it while I’m awake to help with the litter bin issues as as soon as I take it off, he poops on the floor again. I wish I knew about this product sooner.. I am going to test it out slowly with the other cat who he has been separated from for five years because they do not get along. I may even try one for her too as she is a very picky eater and will not take any of the herbal remedies!

Wir nutzen das Shirt nun rund 2 Monaten. Die Akzeptanz war schnell da & auch die beruhigende wirkung war sichtlich erkennbar Jabari ist ein unsicherer Kater der Beißt wenn Reize ihn überfordern. Seit dem Shirt (in kombination mit gezieltem Verhaltenstraining!) ist er sichtlich entspannter An das recht laute Klett mussten wir uns erst Gewöhnen.

My cat has a lot of anxiety but this little vest definitely helps! You can tell an instant difference in his body language! It helps calm him from loud noises and he’s able to wear it for hours at a time.
