Will we need the power inserter when used with a hr24 or hr 25 receiver box?

Yes you will require a inserter. there are 21V and 29V inserters make sure you use the right one. I use a 21V in my system. If more than one receiver you will also need a 2-way or 4-way or more splitter, unless you are using wireless

Is this comparable with HR54-700?

Yes given that you use the proper SWM splitter for any secondary wired Genie receivers. The HR54-700 supplies power to the dish without a power inserter (older boxes require a separate power inserter for the dish). I have a HR54-700 in my RV using this same dish with with the SL3 LNB instead of SL5 but the HR54 works with both.

What is the difference between this swm5 and the swm3 kits? advantages or disadvantage between the two? thanks.
