Like its predecessor Coding in Delphi, More Coding in Delphi is about writing Delphi code. In this book, you won’t find much about the form designer, the VCL, or the FMX framework. You will, however, learn about:* How to write SOLID code in Delphi* Using Delphi with design patterns like the Factory, Observer, Adapter, Decorator, and Command Patterns.* How to take advantage of Operator Overloading to simplify your code* How to write multi-threaded and parallel code and take advantage of the multiple cores in your CPU* How to write Aspect-oriented code to help separate your concerns* The history of and an deep-dive into the world famous TSmiley component Review: Delphi is not a greek to me - Enjoyed the first book and this one takes you further. Good for me as I'm playing current product catchup after retiring 15 years ago Review: Great Delphi Book - I have been using Delphi for years. I was able go glean some very useful information and understand things better. The author knows his stuff.

5 Sterne absolut top!

Awesome book
I really loved this book, it covers a lot of interesting concepts and (most important topic imo) the parallel programming (PPL). There are 2 chapters about the TThread class and the ITask that are used to improve the performance of the program/app using different cpu threads. I have really appreciated the section about factory/adapter pattern and the final Chapter about component development. This (and the previous edition Coding in Delphi, which was excellent as well) aren't for beginners but I guess that they are a must-have because they improve the quality of the code and they teach how to write SOLID code.
