Movie Maniacs 3 - The Thing

Ordered this and found it to be a wonderful piece. It looks really neat in the packaging. I've ordered two of these (one for display, and one to open up and display.) The one I've opened up has very nice looking detail. Everything seemed to be in tack with this figure, and it seemed to stand up pretty well. The dog coming out of the belly of Blair -- is fragile -- so I'd be very careful with it (fragile also, because of the small parts attached to it as well.) Rated it a 5 because, it is a very good looking piece to a collection, or to anyone who enjoyed Carpenter's The Thing. What could possibly be the educational value of this? Other than you should educate yourself with how good the movie is. Anyway, have fun with this, display it -- watch the movie -- get scared, because this toy is a definite representative of how the monster looked in the movie.

Sure the packaging was not perfect- But DAMN it's older so not a problem. Bought as a X-mas gift for my daughter and she loved it. She's a big 'ol fan. AWESOME.

This is my dad’s favorite movie, and I managed to snag this before the price went way up. Was super excited to give this to him as a gift, but unfortunately, a couple of the tentacles are broken inside the package. ):

Very gruesome figure of the shape-shifting creature,The Thing. I like how it has the dog coming out of the chest and the tentacles around it, very nice detail. Now, only if the would make one of the 1988 THE BLOB, with Paul Taylor getting dissolved. That would REALLY make my day

Mind you I am a avid collector and according to the ancient scrolls of hoarding one must not open the package. With that being said these are getting hard to come by and it's my favorite movie so I had to get it. It was a bit pricey but oh well, worth it !

Just one of the best action figures i can to collect. And a fantastic monster from the 80's. Great buy!
