Fifty-one months after Lateralus' original release in CD format, Tool is ready to release a double vinyl four-picture disc edition of Lateralus. Each side contains a different picture and is packaged in a plastic gatefold with a holographic foil. Sony. 2005. The materials used to create picture discs and color vinyl are not the same as traditional vinyl. Picture discs will have an inherent surface noise in playback. Picture discs will generally not have the same sound quality as black vinyl. Also LPs require cleaning prior to each play due to the mid 20th century mechanical technology that LPs are. Sick artwork
Looks fantastic. As far as sound quality goes, I prefer not to hear pops and crackles in my music, so I listen to CDs. But to hang on the wall? Oh yeah.

Prog Metal Masterpiece
I've never listened to Tool before this album, and I can't believe I've been missing out on this genius for so long. I typically listen more to 70s prog bands such as Rush or Pink Floyd, so I wasn't aware of Tool until a friend recommended I check out this album. I was not disappointed! Each of the main epics on this album are meticulously composed with masterful lyrics (though I wasn't a fan of Leeches much, but I know others like it). This album also has some of the most creative packaging I have seen in a CD, with a clear plastic insert that allows you to peel back layers of the guy on the cover. Overall, and awesome package!

CD version is very good and mine 2 copies are HDCD
I bought by mistake in Amazon a copy on march 2024 ( it look so familiar because I had an old copy from 2003).Back in those days a bought and read about new music on the marketing and I like progresive a lot,the thing is that I bought a lot of cd recordings using back then High Definition CD (HDCD) technology and my preamps and media players has this decoding tech.That how I end up with my first copy and it sounded very good,but I put the disc away and went to get others cd's, forgot that I have it.After all this years hearing TOOL in my Spotify ,bought a secundaria copy of it and now hearing it ,l fine it very excellent, in the league of my Absentia DVD AUDIO,and other super recordings. Recoment this CD version and if you use it with HDCD ,better. ENJOY.

Amazing album, amazing art
This is such a cool album. The Alex Grey art on each side of the vinyls is worth the price alone. The music is amazing. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that due to the art, the grooves in the vinyl are quite shallow and the printing is not quite centered so it flanges a bit when playing. But it’s a collectors piece nonetheless.

Un álbum destacado de esta banda, con la complejidad que la caracteriza
A pesar que en sonido, sin duda esta banda, alcanza el mejor nivel con "10.000 days" , esta producción no se queda atrás. Me gustaron varias canciones de este álbum, pero siento que también tengo que dedicarle más tiempo para descubrir sus sonidos, aunque por lo pronto lo veo como una producción más pareja y que libera gran energía. De todos modos para quienes no conocen a esta banda, sugiero primero adentrarse en la historia de la misma y entender su estilo musical y compositivo. Yo la descubrí hace poco y me atrapó

El álbum en sí es un masterpiece. Hablando específicamente del artículo, el empaque, el arte, el picture disc, todo es hermoso, pero es una lástima que como ya muchos han mencionado, ambas ediciones que han lanzado de este vinilo son bastante malas, en el tema de que tiene mucho skipping, aunque se escucha bastante bien, al menos las partes donde no se salta jaja. PS: Excelente servicio en la entrega por parte de Amazon, llegó al día siguiente que lo pedí.

Un incontournable du groupe TOOL. Ce pressage Vinyle lui rend parfaitement honneur.
