This movie was a great off beat comedy The story was original and Paul Rudd was great. heartwarming

It's my very first time ever watching it, got done just now. And I absolutely loved everything about it!! It's adorable, it's so loving and so sweet and it's everything I could ask for in a good wholesome family movie. It cracked me up so many times, every funny seen, I had to replay and it cracked me up just as much the second time. I loved the characters, it helps if you already love Paul Rudd. And his partner in this movies was just so funny! They were so perfect together. Please watch it, you'll love it! I am straight but I have gay family members and friends and I can't wait to share this movie with them, it's an all around excellent film. And I'm not saying I'm straight to excuse myself in any way, I just want the world to know that this movie isn't meant to make gay people more comfortable with raising a child, it's meant for the rest of the world to get more comfortable that the fact is, gay people make excellent parents and we should just lay off them and let them be their fabulous selves. ;)

this was a wonderful lighthearted watch-- no anxiety-provoking twists or turns, but whimsical and endearing enough to keep you engaged :)

I thought I would like this because of the cast but I ended up really loving it all on its own. The writer(s) took a basic theme - a couple with a failing relationship that suddenly has the pressure of a child - and made it something fresh. Since Steve Coogan usually plays sardonic, humorously negative characters and Paul Rudd is usually the easy going nice guy I assumed they would both play to type again. It was a nice twist to see that (somewhat) switched and see the young boy be more than just a stock character brat. All three were multidimensional characters that added more depth to the plot than I expected, made me really care about them, and made their relationships with each other feel very genuine. The acting and writing were great and - for those as obsessed with sets as I am - the house is Gorgeous! I highly recommend this movie!

FINALLY A MOVIE WORTH WATCHING! I have watched my fair share of crappy movies on Amazon prime and I was ready to give up my subscription. Tonight I decided to look for some thing to help me fall asleep but this movie got me laughing! I am not into movies about gay couples AT ALL but this was not at all cringy. It was a great balance of laughable moments and touching moments. At the end I just started bawling because to get a sense that someone could love you that much, if you watch it you’ll see what I mean. This movie really touched my heart and the characters were fun to watch. Thank you Amazon for finally getting it right!

The script is great and these actors play so well off of each other, Wow! There were a few scenes that had me laughing down to my belly. There's this fine line between caricature and comedy. To me, it's feeling the heart and emotions of the character that make it comedy rather than caricature and I feel like both Rudd and Coogan walked that line so well. Beautiful story, thoroughly entertaining. Andrew Fleming gives the actors plenty of material to play with without pulling away from the story line. I hope he writes some more for us because this just made my evening :)

Perfect film. Coogan and Rudd have good timing and chemistry. Watched this three times. Good soundtrack.

A funny and touching film, with fantastic performances from Steve Coogan and especially Paul Rudd. And the kid's pretty great too.

Smart comedy with a great story and a wonderful cast. This will surely become one of my go-to movies when I need to lift my spirits.
