This thing is a game changer. I did research before purchasing this item. I wanted to ensure that I was getting something actually used in clinics versus something just sold as an ear cleaner. This is the closest I saw to what the nurse used at my local urgent care. I used to use Debrox to soften the wax in my ears. I would then use the bulb syringe and warm water to try to flush out the wax. This process never fully worked for me. Debrox would soften the wax, but then I would end up with a sticky blockage in my ear despite attempting to flush. I then switched to using a water and hydrogen peroxide solution. This worked much better, but was still time consuming. The peroxide would often leave a white foam and wax mixture in my ears. It took copious paper towels and bulb flushes to get my ears back to a comfortable state using this method. It was also too time consuming sometimes taking upwards of 30 minutes to feel any relief. This ear washer has changed my life for the better! I was balked at the price, but rationalized with myself that it could at least take less time. Yes it did! To prep, a used my water and hydrogen peroxide solution. I then made a 50:50 water to peroxide solution to fill the ear wash bottle. My partner helped me align everything and wow! I no longer need to deal with ears filled with wax and foam! What a relief! Would definitely buy this again. Totally worth the money.

Gaggingly successful design! Do buy if you’ve noticed severe buildup of wax. Our pediatrician also used this in their office, but they use a 1:1 water and hydrogen peroxide solution (slightly warmer than body temp) vs. vinegar. The hydrogen peroxide solution is amazing. Have tried the vinegar.

I'm very happy with the product as it did exactly what it said it would do. My son has extremely waxy ears and his doctor used this, so I knew it worked well. The only thing I found frustrating is when I received the product, it recommended I go and get a certain kind of wash for doing the ear flushing. Of course I didn't have this wash and I couldn't find it any local store, so I used very warm water and vinegar (which the directions said could be done) instead. However, I didnt feel this solution was very effective.

This is the same ear wash my Doctor uses. I was having to go to doctor every 2 weeks to have my ear flushed. Now I just have my husband do it for me saving saving a trip to the doctor and copays. It’s already paid for itself and then some. Well worth the money.

I was the first in the house to use this and I didn't think it worked b/c nothing came out of either ear. Then my husband gave it a go and ick! He's had issues with ear wax since he was a child, so I mainly purchased this for his use, but wanted to try it myself first. His hearing seemed to improve a bit and he plans to use this on a more regular basis than me. I think he'll try it monthly and I might try it again in a year. I'm lucky that I don't seem to have any wax build up, but certain people are just prone to it for different reasons. Very easy to use and if you keep you mouth shut, you'll feel less pressure in your ear while using it, but it really doesn't hurt at all. A nurse friend of mine suggested this b/c they use it in the emergency room where she works.

Works well but the plastic attachment hose breaks off the bottle after two uses. Now it sprays everywhere.
