I almost never write reviews, but this game deserves it! It turned our Christmas into a full-blown detective showdown. It took us several hours (and plenty of laughs) to figure out who the real killer was—and trust me, the twists kept us guessing until the very end. The best part? There are multiple cold cases available! We’ve already decided to order another one for our next family gathering because this was such a hit. In fact, we’re re-gifting this case to my daughter’s friends so they can experience the thrill of solving it too. If you’re looking for something unique, interactive, and guaranteed to spark conversation, this is it. Brilliant idea and worth every minute!

This is such a fun activity. Highly recommend. It was challenging but not impossible. Every detail was clearly planned with this game. Very impressive!

This was so much fun! We had a great evening playing this with family! We bought it to take on vacation so we could play one evening and it was great! ,The story was interesting, the clues were good, and there were even hints if you needed help! We definitely have plans of buying more of these Unsolved case file games!

I tend to eat, sleep, and breathe mystery-related stuff. Reading books, playing games, doing Hunt A Killer cases, etc. I remember that something like 10-15 years ago there was a short-lived "solve a murder" type show on TV (which was seemingly cancelled during the first episode) that opened with a person saying "So you read a lot of mysteries and watch a lot of crime shows, and now think you can do the job of an actual homicide detective?" And I thought "Why, yes!" LOL. Not really of course, but I mention all this to show the perspective this review is coming from. You get a real-life looking case file with crime scene photos (nothing graphic), witness interview transcripts, newspaper clippings, etc. All seemingly very true to life, so it feels quite authentic. And basically you have to use all the information you're given to, in this particular case, first prove that the person wrongly convicted for the crime is innocent and then find the actual killer. Personally, I felt the killer's identity was a little easy to figure out, but that's with all my experience talking. I completed it about 4-5 hours after I started but I wasn't working on it non-stop. I'd guess it would have taken about 2 hours if I'd worked on it straight through. That's from my end of the spectrum - someone who isn't experienced with this sort of thing, it's hard to say how long it could take. But there are hints you can use to get pointed in the right direction, so how long it takes might ultimately might depend on how willing you are to 'cheat' for lack of a better term. The one thing I want to mention above all is what a fantastic value this is. It's currently priced at $29.99 and, having done similar cases with Hunt A Killer, this price is a fraction of what they charge. With Hunt A Killer you pay around $30 per box with 6 boxes making up an entire case, and once you finish a box you have to wait a few days for the next one to be sent to you. Here you get everything up front for $30. And what you get is just as authentic. This case is the only one I've done but I'd definitely buy more in the future. I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars just because, for me, it was a little easy. But I strongly recommend it to anyone who likes playing detective and solving mysteries.

Cute date night idea for something different! It’s detailed and entertaining. I solved it fairly quickly within the first 5 minutes or so. I am a murder mystery fanatic and pay close attention to details and statements. It’s not difficult if you are good with memory. We still played the game all the way because it was fun! It was a good price for a date night in. We set up a charcuterie board with ours. Everything was printed well and clear. The only bad thing is it’s kind of a one time deal.

This was so much fun, and an incredible value for the money. I purchased this for my daughter to play at a birthday party with friends and they had a blast working through the clues and suspects, eventually solving the case. The packaging and everything included was very nice quality and it kept them entertained for a good hour or so to work through the case. I will absolutely buy another case from Unsolved Case Files in the future!

We played this after Thanksgiving dinner and all of us (ages 23-84) really enjoyed it! It took us about an hour and a half to solve the case. Super fun and it was great to work together! It was impressive how many details were given! Would be great if there were holiday themed ones!

... an evening of sleuthing. Grab 2 or 3 mates, not too many, and have fun with this game. It's entertaining to hear people come up with their theories and gut feelings and then great fun solving it. Now that I finished one, I'll get some more.

100% recommended to play with friends or partner! It is created so well and the correct answer is not revealed until the end. The game has several steps to solve to get to the correct murderer in the end. It uses a website where you input your answer to check if it is correct or not. The photos and all documents feel so real! We absolutely loved it.
