Fixed My Furnace!
My gas furnace made a strange sound and wouldn't run. On a lark, I did some Internet searches being careful to describe exactly what was happening. I learned that the sound I described was the blower motor trying to start but was failing because the start capacitor, which provides a short burst of electricity at startup, was burned out. I was nervous but went to the furnace, found the start capacitor and noted its specifications. This part arrived next day via Prime and was easy to install. Wires connect via blade connectors so tools weren't required. My furnace worked! I wouldn't try a repair more difficult than this but am happy to have a $20 furnace repair this time.

Does what it's supposed to
I ordered this replacement capacitor for my furnace blower fan after hearing a loud buzzing noise coming from my furnace and seeing the fan was not moving any air. My problem ended up being a worn out blower motor, but this capacitor helped keep old motor going until I was able to change out the blower motor. It's a capacitor, it works well and does what it's supposed to. Match it up to your old one - if you don't know what you're doing don't lick it.

Very Nice Capacitor Replacement
My HVAC company with whom I have a yearly maintenance contract states that my capacitor reads only 3.4 microfarads instead of 5. As a loyal client and the technician was already here, they gave me a special discounted price of $220. Well I ordered this similar OEM capacitor ($10). I needed a screwdriver and 10 minutes of my time. Please be sure to discharge the capacitor before replacement and turn off the electrical switch for the furnace in case you are doing it yourself.

Good to have in a pinch.
I bought this at the beginning of winter after my furnace was failing to kick on. A few YouTube videos to trouble shoot and I was up and running in about 20 minutes. I called a local HVAC company to get a quote on service and it was an automatic $250 just to show up. I bought 2 just to have one as a back up even though they will last more than a few years. If you are semi handy this is well worth the price and the money you can save.

Perfect for a Carrier Weathermaker 8000
Had to service our 20+ year old furnace recently and added this capacitor at the same time. Fit perfectly in the original mounting and worked great.
