will it work for oranges or harder stuff easily?

well I slice raw potatoes and onions...ripe tomatoes are too soft but the harder ones slice....all I can say is I love it

Are the blades supposed to wobble? They seem loose even though the screws are tight. Also, one blade rubs agains the safety guard. Is this normal?
