What is the shelf life?

There is an expiration date on the cases. A lot of this stuff is deep frozen and will have a long life commercially warehoused. When it is shipped to you through an intermediary it will have been thawed and it is not likely that seller will know, or tell you if they do, how long that product has been thawed. Having said that, this food lasts a long, long time even in hot temperatures, months, possibly years if kept cool. Combine with fresh vegetables if you can. this is not a great diet if you can help it over a sustained period. The thick outer wrapper on US MREs is worth keeping as a storage container. I’ve seen them used to make a shelter roof applied as waterproof shingles.
